Hi... im just wondering if its just me... or everyones x1 has this problem...

You mught notice that i could me some kind of "perfectionist-maniac" xD... but its kinda bothering me when i look at the greatest screen and i notice its not centered and not even parallel to the phone...

Is this because of some kind of configuration? because i "aligned" the screen 2 times, but i think it could be the hardware :S

well... check out my picture here...

and you can realise what i mean... i measured everything with a vernier... so its exactly what it is for real.

Is this valid for a guaranty?? :S

Thanks,
I knew it. I always believe the Xperia screen was incredible.
You finally confirmed that the XPeria is really UNIQUE.
It's the only screen that is not a rectangular but a parallelogram!

I am still confused. The black as well as the silver are cracking. But is it that the silver are facing more problems? Is that true?

The WinMO is all crap as most of the ppl say and then now even the so called good build quality, the harware is also giving up. The minute crack is still fine but the color fading off in less than a month. Thats sad.

I mean you pay for the costliest phone in the market and then you get this.

I still want to be convinced that its not all that bad because I want that phone. Waiting for reviews from ppl.

LOL!

well... its not actually a parallelogram... as you can see... its really rectangular, but according to my calculator... its 4.3 degrees under the X axis...

thats why its rotated a little bit :S

i hate that!! lol...

Despite all the bad talk that's going around, I've been really satisfied with my purchase. 650 USD, and no real issues in build or hardware at all. WinMo is pretty shit though, but after installing touchFLO and alot of modifications, it's really gotten to be a pretty damn good mobile. Still working on the kinks though, don't mind it though

@prideful, where did you buy for 650 USD. I've been wanting to get one as well, but the prices are so high ~ $800

Hmm!

We should start a thread which should have links to the "must install" applications for the X1 before making it worth using.

It would be really helpful.

after reading the thread, I have a few questions:
- why is it mainly the silver ones that get cracked? Is it because most people bought silver, difference in material around stylus (although there's a guy with a black one that has a crack), a lot of sytlus usage in terms of taking the stylus out under a certain angle and causing the casing to crack on its weakest point? I am trying to determine wheather this can be prevented if I limit the stylus usage on minimum and take it it out gently.
- for how long have the people with the problem had the phone? Are the phones affected from the first batch or does it not matter?
- and another one unrelated to casing breakage - how many of you are noticing the discoloration (paint coming off) of the keys under the screen.
- what is the SE policy (if any) if it comes to it. do they exchange phones or send you on your merry way?

I must admit, when I first read the thread I was devastated. On of the main reasons I chose this WM phone over any other was build quality, now I just don't know anymore.

It could be a case of wear and tear on the stylus holder, i've only used my stylus 3 times on the phone, each to calibrate the screens when i've debranded and done a hard reset for it, never had any other use for it unless i want to use the built in virtual keyboard
