@ 786KBR,
The commentator, ex-Aussie batsman Dean Jones has been fired already:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/5253722.stm
Here's a quote from him, before he leaves Colombo at 01:00 am tomorrow morning, on his one-way ticket back to Oz:
"I will be the first person to apologise to Hashim as soon as I get the chance, and I will assure him that prejudice against anybody, on any basis, is unacceptable and not something I will ever condone."

@KBR786 & da wanqsta: This is the craziest news I've heard all day...how retarded can you be? I doubt Dean Jones ever spoke to Hashim to come to his crazy conclusion.
I hope he never commentates on cricket again.

@ da brixsta,
His international commentating days are, to all intents, over for good.
What a stupid thing for him to say.
To blurt something out like that with the such a huge international community watching live is indeed crazy.
I'm glad Gerald Majola stepped in so quickly as soon as the remark came about. |

@brad: I was one of the millions who suffered from the break in service. Please don't mention Cell C, in fact they should not be mentioned in the same breath as Vodacom and MTN.
@da wanqsta: Reading that article it seems that most of his work was done on the subcontinent, I wonder how he'll explain this gaffe to his old lady when she wants money to shop.
On a more serious note though, Jone's comments illustrate the point that Australians are not the most tolerant/open-minded people emigration lawyers claim them to be.

Yeah, a couple who are friends of mine now reside in Oz, and they have been called anything from the common immigrant name there ie. 'boat people' to occasional more offensive derogatory terms.
Having said that, they seem to be more settled there now, within the local community in a more rural part of Oz. |

You would think that having an accent like that should put you in your place. but then again, i am looking for material to add to my song in the form of someone saying something deep. at the moment i have an aus voice. tried a sa voice: it sounded bad!lol!
i have tried posting pictures on esato many a time from a broadband connection at work: no luck. getting ticked off about that. |

@ brix. it is a well-known fact that in general black people have a built in beat box to keep time in dancing and music. white people eat mayonaise. and also survive in horror movies. that is about it:)
i am so lucky that i have technology to help me make my music. if i had to do it all manually it would take me months to get it in beat. and it would still suck.

I think Brad is being very true to his avatar, unlike myself and the da krypsta.
