@caff111 .... just tried mine with headset plugged in and it doesn't ring
through the speaker when I get a call !

Which is kinda what I expected to be the case .... Can others confirm or
deny how theirs behave ? Maybe mines "broken"
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Others have pointed out same issue. I thought I had same issue with my mini, but I found out that it actually rings in the extermnal speaker as well when the headset is connected. However, the volume on the externa speaker is lowered with the headset inserted, so you need to cranc up the ring volume to here it.

so its definitely a bug regards to with the wired handsfree attached to X10, the alert notification from calendar, gmail and alarm etc doesn't come through the phone speaker, just the handsfree itself! SE should fix this along with the low in-call volume on X10 .............................We demand urgent action from SE but still they take forever ................sigh.

According to support "it is supposed to work that way and it is same on all their phone", which is not correct (their dumbphones do not behave like that).

All my previous SE phones I can remember using handsfree with have behaved like that.

A funny ring in the earpiece and the selected ringtone in lower than usual volume on the handset's loudspeaker.
I have a dig bick

Please X10 users post your frustration on low in-call volume on X10 here, we really need SE to take action ASAP:

I was just thinking, it'd be nice if there were different vibration alerts like there are ringtones.

I know the ring vibrate is different to the notification vibrate but to be able to select from a list of different vibration settings would be good so when on silent in a meeting I can tell if the vibrate is an email (probably can leave till later), text (probably the girlfriend), Google Talk IM (probably needs answering right away) or just a system message (e.g. battery life).

Is this an OS limitation or just no-one in the office thought of it or can be bothered to implement it?
