Can W810i withstands 98% compression, i have been using A4A 8.0 with 95% compression. Rocking, better than your A4A 7.8.
If so can you tell me the settings.
hemnath123, i tested even with 98% and 100% but they are getting crazy for me (slow saving and regular crashes). Therefore, I think 95% is the best compression for our phones no matter it is w810i or cid36
@Raiderski: I found that you increased the retries to D. I think you got this value when u was taking pictures at night with ur led and the led kept flashing until it crashed. Maybe I am wrong

I wonder why I see so many blured pictures posted here, I don't have that problem with any driver.
A4A 7.8

Great news bro, W810i stable at 100%. 793KBis very high. I will check it myself, whether w810i is stable at all shots.
@lpachuong
Your driver is going to do some magic with my w810i, if it is going to be stable at 100% compression.

Thank you terminator for helping me testing it.
However, this test helps me make sure that w810i is compatible with 95% compression. As you know everything has its own limit and I would like to advice you to stop at 95% of compression and that is good enough. Please dont play with 95% + . It is fine but ur phone will work harder and it will affect its lifetime. 95% is good enough.
Here are lines that you can edit my last driver to make 95% be more stable (which terminator used for 100%)
cam_data_offset=2;
cam_vf_sync=7;
cam_ss_sync=f;
cam_ss_sync_9=9;
cam_ss_retries=d; -->>> these 2 values are interesting as raiderski and I myself found the problem is here.
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_8=96500;
$c0 08 #SET_JPEG_MIN(01,00) #SET_JPEG_MAX(02,69) #SET_JPEG_AVG(02,2d) #SET_JPEG_QUALITY (goes with seq_set_prop_5_1)
I will test this compression for burst shot when I have time.
Your sincerely.

Is there any obvious improvement increasing the jpg compression on our photos beyond the current values?? |

yes there should be, 100% is a perfect picture. I feel the phone can't tolerate it in some cases and it would crash, where the picture has got more detail. As the creator (lpachuong) said it is good enough to stop at 95%. I will go with him. Since he knows better than me.

My camera is crashing in night mode for 100%. So dont use 100%, as lpachuong said 95% is the limit, and the pictures taken from it are second to none. |

It is nice to see that you can understand me (bcz st I dont no how to express my idea ). When I saw the post from terminator about 100%, i felt both happy and worry. Currently only w810i can work with 100% compression (even k800i still has some problems), and as a result, 95% is a safe value for our phone ( I also tested with 100% on my cid49 but get crash when i take a picture of the grass under the sunlight - close shot). So you can feel safe to take pictures with 91%-95%.

guys, don't use expression "quality xx%"...
use "max quality xx%" because we are talking about MAX quality value. our pictures never had constant quality value and real quality can be far away than you think (especially in K750/W800)
if you want to know real quality of picture use this very nice tool:
http://www.impulseadventure.com/photo/jpeg-snoop.html
BOSSHOGG
i'm using macro mode for max ~40cm between object and camera
no changes in video

Then, it is possible to set MIN quality value?
Btw, I was playing with MAX quality value at 95% and sometimes crash,
what dou you think about the relationship between MAX quality value and lifetime of our phones?

Yeah, i mean in a normal driver, what range does macro serve no purpose?
Would it be possible to add a video quality modifier in your app? Just for ease of use. |
