Thanks Esato peeps. I heard here that AT&T was selling the X10. Got it for $150. Been wanting this phone for so long but didn't want to spend $600 for an unlocked X10. Happy to be holding a SE phone again.
This thread is getting out of control.... too hard to find information even with the search functions.

@moogoo yes according to their website they are only offering the sensous black version. so we're still good
and i'm even more happy to learn that the ATT model doesn't really have 8gb of ONBOARD storage. rather just a card that is 8gb. i would have been very depressed if that was not the case however.
would really be stoked if the devs at xda can overcome the bootloader and get a working cm6 ROM booting and stable on the x10 b/c then we'd be even more awesome than those whimpy sensous black att branded carryin mo'fo's lol no offense to any of those folks who have one
sweet. we're still exclusive! and yea, i knew about the 8gb issue. definitely not on board and only a card. glad my rogers x10 came with a 16GB card

Now today this problem happened again as when I removed the sim card and replace it, the battery again drains out.
Not sure I understand what you are doing. Are you changing between an old and an new SIM card ?
It is known that some older SIM card (like older than 5 years perhaps) can drain the battery faster than newer one, but that's perhaps not what you ment (in old thays some SIMs operated on 5V and others on 3V, don't know if 5V SIMs would work att all on new devices) ?

When the X10 attached to a wire handsfree, the alert notification from the stock calendar, gmail, alarm clock etc would come though the handsfree and not the phone speaker itself. Is there anyway to stop this happening as I want the notification to come though the phone speaker. Or is this the bug of X10 that SE needs to sort out?? Is there any app on market that can make sure the alert notification comes through in the phone speaker, not via handsfree speaker when a wired handsfree attached to X10. Thanks !! |

To all those who flamed me when I warned the X10 would be slow because of SE's inability to develop SW!
UNLUCKY I WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG!

This slow performance can be attributed to two things: The Timescape overlay and Android 1.6. Timescape is fairly animation- and image-heavy, which definitely drags down the phone's ability to launch and load content. Add an outdated version of Android, and you've got yourself a powerful smartphone that crawls.
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot. |

Who uses timescape anyway? Mine is not slow, and 2.1 is comming, and it will bring even more speed to our x10

@nitrofan
not to get into a debate. i love my x10 and i don't know if you have one or not, but you shouldn't criticize it unless you have one.
anyway, that reviewer obviously was not as clued in as he made himself out to be. a key point that show his lack of knowledge of the x10: can only look at pictures through camera app? um.. what the hell is media scape?
Also, his handset is likely an ATT branded handset with all the crap that ATT put on it and likely is NOT updated to the latest version of the firmware (and yes, that makes a difference with timescape, though i never thought it was THAT slow to begin with).
Granted having donut does probably slow down the phone a bit, but that will be resolved soon. So, no worries there. I've had this phone since april and i absolutely love it. i've never been disappointed with its performance.

doesn't plugging a wired headset into the 3.5mm jack by-pass
all the speakers - including the ear piece ? Bit like plugging in
headphones in to your stereo or tv !
If you're listening to music / video on the headset how would you hear
the speaker notification anyway ??
wouldn't have called that a bug personally, but hey what do I know
I reject your reality and substitute my own. |

but with the wired handsfree attached to X10, the phone speaker will ring if u receiving calls. I don't see why calendar, gmail and alarm alert etc can't be go through the phone speaker as well. |

Does x10 support TV output??
Whenever i view any photo in the mediascape, on viewing the original size, photo's dont show much detail, when i view same image using a file manager, images looked much better...is this a bug in mediascape?
are there any image viewer software for x10 ( just like roxio image viewer on symbian) |

Yes, I noticed if I use Justpictures app will give me better image quality than in mediascape. I guess its due to the image resolution compression in mediascape.

if you guys recently updated your firmware you need to remove the old thumbnails and let mediascape create new ones.

I did that but still the image quality on mediascape is not as good as using Justpictures or others...........Its something to do with image compression on mediascape. |
