whatsucka
the problem is:
1. shaked hand
2. used macro mode
Tuner
One hint about configuration tool:
The function for creating new WB modes is great, but I (and maybe others too) would appreciate possibility of adjusting predefined wb settings
that you can find in menu (cloudy, daylight, etc.) and maybe possibility of adjusting WB for LED.
readme.txt, under point 3:
13. what exactly i can do in "Default WB correction" panel?
you can define your own color correction for all five WB Profiles
WB for LED is useless (now it's "clear" white color as it should be)
strong
buffer size gives nothing in my opinion. i've made a lot of test and everytime i was able to crash camera on "magic scene" in my bathroom and many more scenes. my last experiment with 6.5 was:
- cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_8=96650
- compression max quality 95%
- average jpeg filesize 500kb (tested also with 420kb, 450kb, 480kb)
with above parameters many pic saves are successful but i can repeat camera crash always on selected scenes. small trip to forest and without big problems i can repeat crash again and again but...
I KNOW HOW TO AVOID CAMERA CRASH
used parameters:
- cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_8=927C0 (original)
- compression max quality 95%
- average jpeg filesize 500kb
- small change in code (one digit!)
with above parameters after almost 400 snapshots of various scenes my patience has ended with result: no camera crash
i will explain everything today

A4A -8.0 Colour test 1 - maybe there will be no more colour test if it false on cid36/w810i as the colours are tweaked for CID49
http://www.mediafire.com/?8nvp9ldwqtw
Hello everyone.
This is my A4A - 8.0 with a new colour profile. This colour profile is applied on all modules and I hope you could spend a little time to test it for me. The same functions as before and there are 2 compressions: 1 is at 89% and one at 95%. If you get crash the please report me and I agree with what raiderski said about crash problem as I also tested many times with Power_Vano.
Please try it and tell me what do you think about its colour. There is no version is uploaded on SE-NSE.
Thank you.
PS:
Normal focus: always use macro + fine quality.
The angle of the camera will affect the exposure significantly.
At EV+2.0 you can try from zoom 1.0-1.4 for different colour correction at different situation (if you get blue the change to another 1 or yellow then change to a new 1). Set focus 1.1+ev2.0+zoom 1.5 for zoom in+infinity. I will try to improve this for u, terminator

Where is everybody today?
Perhaps shooting pictures with the awesome new 6.5
Everybody, except for me, cause my phone is at a service centre :(
@Raider:
Awesome app. I already tweaked some driver settings, rearranged the functions and created some profiles. But where can I find the default colour settings for each WB preset? I want to create custom profiles like "Cloudy landscape", "Daylight macro", etc, but I don't know the WB settings for "daylight", "cloudy" etc..
I know I may sound like a n00b, but.. I am :) |

Hello everyone. It has been a while since I last visited here. I am also busy with the new term as last year I didn#t work hard enough. I tried A4A-8.0, what do you think about these:
: Correct colours: grey+black+white (not yellow)
No pb with the colours on my cid49 and the sharpness as well. No much yellow and white can see at dark place(not blue)
@Raiderski: could you please post ur driver on somewhere else? I cant download ur driver from my wireless

@Raiderski
hmmm! yes! I agree with you I made several tests and cant saw different in quality or noise only in save time and as I said in before post must be a safe border to bufer and jpg compress for all phones to works well and only for personal use user must change the bufer size thanks !

I agree that the saving time will be longer but I disagree with the quality and noise. I can see the differences as the bit/pixle is improved. Higer compression will give better quality. Maybe this is wrong and I have no document/proof for this so far,why don't everyone try it?
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_8=96500;

n00b question but can you modders try 15+ fps video at 128x96?
K800 is looking good at the moment as the K750/W800 replacement because no 30fps recording was the let down for me but now even 35fps works when recording at 176x144. |

@Raiderski &lpachuong
long time back when I released my 0.9 lots of people loved it and the size of the pics was around 400-600 then I created 0.9 with zuza size and the pics were 200-350 but no one like it and they said the quality of the pics are not like the original 0.9 |

HI Raiderski, You must be a good java programmer too. A millions of thanks for creating such a superb tool like this. Thanks for you and lpachuong, you guys have done a great job. We dont know how to thank you guys.

....... ^.^
Actually I haven't done much. Most of the things are done by Raiderski ^'.'^ (my new emotion )
@Darkmagician: The compression is difficult to understand. As you know the word 'compression' means making thing smaller. However, when you increase the compression on the camera, the pictures seem getting bigger So, how can we understand compression?
-Compression affects two things: rate of compression and bit compressed/pixel - colour depth (2 main features I pay attention to). The rate of compression will help the pictures get smaller size; meanwhile the bigger bits/pixel, the better quality the pictures are (bits/pixel includes the information of colours and details of a pixel).
- Therefore, the big size of a pictures doesn't mean that the pictures get good quality and the same as small size picture. We may get small size picture but high bit/pixel and that is super rather than so big size but low quality.(i'm trying to play with it on another camera module)
- You can test by yourself and if you check ur memory stick, u may see most of the big size pictures have overexposure between black/white, good quality or too much green. Low size pictures also happens with overexposure and blurness. This is no good at all ^}^
- I hope you can understand my language . And what we should pursue is hight bit/pixel, not big size of pictures.
You can have some more information here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixel
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compression_artifact
http://www.teched.vt.edu/gcc/[....]/PremiereFactorsAffectComp.pdf

Apart from studying, I find it is good for me to relax here. Huge thanks to Esato
Please reduce the full size pictures----The forum gets laggy --- Thanks

i don't know real values but try in this direction:
daylight - mix of yellow, a bit of magenta
cloudy - as above but with bigger values
fluorescent - a bit of yellow (?)
incandescent - a lot of blue
lpachuong
you must consider what increased buffer size can give:
96666 (max accepted) - 927c0 (original) = 3ea6
only 16038 bytes. this is nothing because every additional 1% of quality above 90% need much more space than 15kb. real 95% picture is ~800kb but of course "max" value and "real" value is like "sky" and "earth"
common quality range for my pictures is: 85 - 90%
green/trees scene quality is near 60 - 75%
my conclusion:
1. max quality at 91% is enough for 600kb
2. cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_ was declared only as information purpose for firmware designers and programmers
3. we can forget about camera crash, i will post 6.5 update tomorrow and you will know what i'm talking about
BTW. don't kill me because of PM's - i was out of free time lately and i even not saw that i have some PM's
DarKMaGiCiaN
i liked zuza compression because of small file size and quick save but i knew that is deal: "something for something".
that was the past, now i want more than 75% quality
hemnath123
no need to thanks i like to play with things like that. i always had more fun with tools and editors than with pity J2ME games

I agree with u. 91% is enough and we dont need more than that. I just put 95% on my phone as I love it and I havent' got crash so far(dont know why). We all look forward to ur new driver. I have to go back to work now GOod night everyone and maybe see u tomorow
About PM, dont worry, sometimes I could not replied some PMs. Just joking with you. Hope you have more rest time.
Good night everyone.
