@yap
reflective screens produced washed out colours under the sun although they might be abit brighter but they are not as bright indoors.... all use transflective so that it will be good indoors and outdoors, more balanced ma... that's why it's brighter indoors now... and the colours don't get washed out under the sun unlike the reflective ones...
no point seeing washed out colours right?
read this,
"ACME regular LCD is referred as the transmissive type, in which ambient light is used to illuminate the screen. However, the Transflective LCD is a combination of reflective and transmissive types, in which the rear polarizer has partial reflectivity. The LCD is combined with the backlight designed to be used in all types of lighting environments. For outdoor uses, the backlight of the screen can be manually dimmed by user to conserve power consumption; in darker environments, the backlight will be turned back on to become a bright LCD screen. Transflective LCDs will not "wash out" when operate under direct sunlight.
Why Transflective Technology? Contrast to the current high-bright LCDs that offer high-bright displays to meet market demands, the Transflective technology is a revolutionary improvement in LCD screens to be sunlight readable. Although many high-bright LCDs currently fulfill the market needs, the display has many disadvantages such as adding extra light bulbs, increasing the thickness of LCD chassis, and shortening LCD lifespan. The Transflective technology not only eliminates all drawbacks from the existing high-bright LCD, but also adds more advantages."

sorry didn't know he bought it before today... but it doesn't matter... there's no need of a receipt as this case is against T-Choice not the dealer. Just fill up the warranty card with today's date and he's all set to go to court
of course this is only valid if the warranty card has t-shoice's stamp and also the dealer that alex bought from is stated in the black bar on the right of the advertisement la
trust me, it can be done... just dunno wat kind of compensation they will give alex only... but definitely will have something
sanj, we don't do this coz we dun have the phone... that's fire... hehehe but for alex, he's already got the phone so he has nothing to lose, everything to gain

basically you can't use your T3 without any backlight(that's why you don't have the setting to off it) but reflective screen able to work without backlight. That's the reason why reflective screen work better under sun(not my statement ok? all review sites say that). Anyway, if you compare your z600 screen color with reflective screeen, z600 only consider as washed out. try it .. you will know the answer yourself.

Transflective LCD
Due to the way a Transflective display works, it can never be as bright as a Transmissive display indoors and a Reflective display outdoors.
Reflective LCD
At best, under outdoor conditions the Reflective LCD fairs just a little better than a Transflective LCD
and pls remember ya, the issue you bring up is about the transflective work really good under the sun. That's why i consider it as misleading information.

i never said z600 screen is good... it's just more usable under the sun than the t610... of course not as good as transflective screens la.. aiyoh
and yup i said transflective screens work well under the sun... because compared to reflective screens, the colours on transflectives aren't washed out. and compared to transmissive which can't be used under the sun although very bright indoors
so how can u say i'm giving misleading info? i'm saying best coz transflective screens offer the best of both transmissive and reflective. it's balanced... so that's good... not one-sided;
a) transmissive good indoors
b) reflective good outdoors
c) transflective good in and outdoors...
choice is obvious... go figure
ps: of course u need the backlight, it's transflective... it needs backlight to work optimally...

a) transmissive good indoors
b) reflective good outdoors
c) transflective "ok" in and outdoors
next time pls see and compare the real unit yourself before you give conclusion ok? |

aiyo yap... ok la since u want it to be so damn specific...
as i said, transflective cannot be as good as transmissive indoors, and reflective outdoors... but it offers the best of both worlds...
so if u wanna use the term ok... then ok la... ok it is for both indoors and outdoors...
so everyone listen up...
transflective screens are good indoors and outdoors but NOT AS GOOD as transmissive indoors, and NOT AS GOOD as reflective outdoors...
hence, transflective screens are OK indoors and outdoors... therefore u get the best of both worlds, so IMHO they are better screens than both the aforementioned screens... because u get a balanced screen with capabilities indoors and outdoors... with no washing out of colours... therefore these transflectives are GOOD screens... GEEZZZZ
happy yap? geez, dun be so uptight la... no need to be so specific, and i dun have to see those units... i know how they work... ok?
good is a very subjective term... so maybe u got me wrong in the first place... and by the way... read my post to fulat properly... i didn't say transflectives work BEST in sunlight... i said something else... "actually all these screens don't work really good under the sun unless it's transflective (found on PDAs like ipaqs and palm) but it's visible la..."
i said... good... not best....
if i said best... then i'm wrong coz reflectives work BEST in sunlight... but transflectives are GOOD in sunlight coz they are bright and not washed out... understand?
