The Iphone imho cannot be compaed to the xi.....the xi is miles away from it.
This is a well rounded device and smartphone.
The iphone has a lot of catching up to do...User Interface is just a tiny part of a smartphone (i dont think its a smart phone anyway, just a play thing)
The one good thing going for the iphone is good marketing, which SE needs loads of

well then an extraordinary capable mediacentric phone. with the upcoming SDK sure someone will write an script to read excel sheet, word docs and so on and so it will be more "buisness". buisnesphones have besides the software stuff other things they must do , long bat life, changeable bat, useable I/O things, operable as a softmodem if needed and so on and on. but in terms of useabillty its unbeatble.
the panels seem very handy because they are short cuts to various menuepoints, but still no change of the "look&feel" i guess...a WMphone at least. "used one ..used everyone" |

I think one of the liltle circles on the right or left of the speaker is a secondary camera for video call.

Hi all
Well my maths is not as good as it should be so i will leave the calculations to the genius amongst us but all i can tell you is that Video encoded in Mp4 h.264 @ 800 x 352 pixels in 16 million true colors on my E90 is indeed stunning and that's now. Unfortunately it looks like we will have a long wait to see how the 3" X1 Screen compares to it even with the extra 128 extra pixels although only 65k colours.

I thought you said you would be the first to congratulate SE when they start using the latest tech. |

Well i still have another 8-9 months to wait then don't i? and i actually meant in UIQ as never envisaged after purchasing UIQ they would then start selling the competitions OS instaed. So far from the lack of HSDPA in the G series it looks like they are still using the Nexperia chip in UIQ. Lets hope tomorrow brings some better and more exciting news, we can but hope for now.

That'll give you plenty of time to prepare then. I wouldnt say WM is the competitions OS, SE are just trying to break into new markets where uiq hasnt reached and also the us where wm is big. Have to agree that the g series is plain boring, even pointless. |
