i seem to have problems using the media manager. I have too transfer my tracks form windows media player, works great then.
only trouble is there is no album art?
these are cd's that i have riped to windows and then transfered to the phone.
any ideas?
Someone offered this solution earlier in the thread to me, and I've used it. It works GREAT! Try Album Cover Art Downloader. Nifty little program that does it all for you! Then when you transfer the files to your phone, VOLIA! Cover art! Looks cool.... |

anyone else find the music player to be much slower to move around in than previous SE phones? i was using a w610 (k550 flashed to w610) and you could fly down the list of artists, and move back and forth between things quickly. seems to take forever on the w890. granted it's much fancier looking and even loads the album art when looking at the albums, but still.
and even doing other things on the phone while music is playing seems to be kind of slow... |

Yeah thats an overall problem with the new A200 platform. Hopefully they'll eventually fix it with firmware updates.

I've already used this feature with the W880 without problems. With the W890 it works the same, just the account and settings menus have been redesigned a bit (to the better).
A really handy feature and for reading email or just to stay up to date it's perfectly suitable. Of course one wouldn't want to write longer emails using T9...
But I once sent some pictures to multiple receipients (about 15) from Egypt (the Pyramids). Despite data roaming charges this was far less expensive than using MMS. And the quality of the images was much better than with MMS. The phone still reduces the size of the image, but far less as with MMS. |

any way to go from the music player to the standy screen quickly without stopping the music? if you hit the hang up key, the music turns off. otherwise, it appears you have to hit "back" about 4 or 5 times... a bit annoying.. |

Instead of hitting the back button several times, just press once and hold it pressed until you reach the main screen.
The long press is somewhat less annoying for starters.
Cheers! |

that doesn't work in the new a200 platform. that works when you have the actual arrow back key... not with this new set up of using the right softkey as the back key... |

just wondering how stable is the fw?
i'm using a k850 and am thinking of buying w890, fed up of slow interface and bad camera pics, plus the latest k850 seems to give 90% of users a brick in return
Im finding it great. Phone hasnt crashed on me yet. I came to hate my K850i and was glad to see the back of the cheaply built pile of cr*p.
As for battery life Im getting a consistent 4 days out of it which is great. I have 3G turned off from the settings menu as Im told that drains extra battery and I have bluetooth turned on every day for my MBW-150 Classic edition bluetooth watch. |

W890i is great! Much more stable than the K850i.
It is really well made. The steel has a better looking than the plastic of the K850i. The quality of this model is definitely very good.
Only the AF, xenon flash, LED and accelerometor are missing. |
