Soon it is tuesday, then I will have it. Atleast no later then that day. IF they havent drew the P990i f/w back as they evidently have done with the W950i. Well, one more day and I will see. Hoping for the best

I always feel that it's ok to be a bit slow as long as you get to your destination. If SE needs time to get it spot on with the newest firmware, is say let them have it, if your current firmware has chronic problems, reflash it. The ones with good running R4 shouldn't have any unbearable problems that we need to demand immediate update right? I say patience- though I'm waiting eagerly myself |

@ Mode - Agreed, the need for the update is not urgent....my R4 is fine for ordinary useage. But I suppose we know the P990 is capable of so much more. It's a fantastice piece of hardware with some silly unnecessary bugs and shortcomings. Its like having a Ferrari shell with a Suzuki engine in some ways.

/me slaps OrangeUK+SEUP about with a big stick
I just got the phone the other day, have it crashing with every 3rd application used, replaying videos it's just taken, browsing pics etc. Just run the SEUP thinking that it would upgrade the FW but it says I'm up to date with:
Phone: CXC162037 R7A001
BT: CXC162058 R4F01
Org: CXC162036 R3B01
CDA: CDA162008/16 R3A02
What's the hold up with getting the new FW piped through to branded handsets? Orange or SE? :'(
When it works it works well so am unwilling to drop it after 3 days, maybe the M700 would have been a better choice :/ |

i just updated mine and its honestly taking much longer to start up first time than any other previous update
however, this progress bar on the boot screen has a certain sexiness to it ... hmmmmm |
