Hi everyone
Well my SE W900 recently died due to WSOD and i didnt like the replacement Voda gave me SO i decided to get a Nokia N80 since i was so curious about s60 and Nseries specificaly. I can say i made a great choice,im loving this lil monster lol, i might get a N95 either now or next year because im now HOOKED on to Nokia s60 phones i have recently also playd with my friends' Nokias including N70,N73,N91-8GB, 6680, 6630 AND 7610, ALL great phones but i feel i took the greatest all rounder besides N95, my only problem with my N80 is that it seems to suffer from a bit of memory leakage everytime i use Opera Mini or MXit java appz, i got Handy Taskman and the other day i was ONLY using Opera Mini and checked how much ram i had left the phone had gone from 15mb RAM to only 486kb of RAM, with ONLY OPERA MINI running, wats wrong with my N80? How can get sum ram bak wen it does that? Thanx in advance

Fraid this is common to all s60 phones. The only way to get all your ram back is to restart the phone. The case you mention sounds extreme but when you closed opera you should have had maybe 12 or 13 mb again. |

Hi all,
Well this may come as a bit of shock to some but there are actually really big differences IMO between the N Series and E Series putting aside that the E series has better standby plug ins. Even if the E Series has the exactly the same hardware Nokia don't allow it to perform as well on the Multimedia side of things even if it is a flagship device.
I have just decided i am going to stick with my N95 and E61 and actually sell my E90, now don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong or bad with the E90 far from it it really is an awesome device IMO. But and it is a big but for Music the N95 really is much better it is louder and produces a richer sound the quality is not that different but the volume certainly is IMO. This factor has made me change my mind about my strategy, as it still seems you really can't get the best of both in one device yet even though the E90 has the same OMAP 2420 Chip Nokia have nobbled it's music playing ability and used a different Music Player including the fact it is not as easy to add Album Art that doesn't really bother me to much but why do it?
Although obviously Video playback is a better experience on the E90 due to it's huge internal screen this results in a much larger file size, and again Nokia have taken away the Video Centre found in the N95 again not the end of the world but annoying none the less.
So for now as i am not some one that really needs to utilise the full on Business capabilities of the E90 it will go and i will return to my two devices for needs. Maybe one day Nokia will allow all their devices to reach the full potential especially in a flagship device that is more than able to.
Marc

@GUCCI.011
I'm afraid that appears to be true well for now anyway i have a more detailed answer in the E90 review thread and can't really see the point of double posting it here as well. But if you check that thread out you will see it was a decision i felt was right to make much to my disappointment. I must say. I really do like the E90 it is a truly awesome Buisness smart phone but IMO has been stopped from reaching it's full potential Multimedia wise consciously by Nokia.
