Just learned something today .
I just updated my wife's K700i to the latest FW by using my P910's synch station.
K700i's don't need to be backed up, no data is lost during FW update.
I didn't know this and I had copied all files before hand 
I also did a FW update check for the P990, but still the new FW is not available
GH337, GH388, GH 688, SH 888, P800, P900, P910 and now P990i and P1i and HTC Touch Pro |

Once the new FW is out, all P990 users will try to download the latest FW at the same time that SEUS will be broken for some days due to heavy traffic. 
The girl on the phone at SE Istanbul said that second batch of P990's will be arriving to shops on the 16th Oct. with the newest FW in them .
I asked her the Version number of the FW, but she had no idea She just said it would be the latest software.

gone back to my nokia e61 until the firmware makes it a usable fast phone. i have no third party apps but emails/ calender and texting is so slow it is painful! |
