Hi All - Just got my K800 today, and I'm very pleased with it..
Just one little gripe though - The manual.., mine looks as if it has just been "photocopied and stapled together" , it is very poor for a £350+ phone..
just wondered if mine was a rushed out temporary copy or if everyone else has the same black and white photocopied manual ??
The phone was bought from expansys in the uk, so it wasn't from any dodgy dealers etc...
Thanks,
Ian

Expansys buy abroad and quite the french versions - then photocopy an english manual. You're lucky you didn't get a voda that they called "unlocked Sim free" like I did my T610 years ago.
I played merry hell as you can imagine. |

ref CPW/E2Save and the Orange K8:
CPW owns E2Save and the stock, I am sure (although I don't know for a fact) is sourced from the same place.
I would suspect, therefore, that both will have stock at the same time. It looks as though the K8 sold by CPW (and E2Save) will be the orange-branded version.
However, no stock has arrived as yet and I doubt E2Save will have before the Carphone stores. |

Yeah, that's what I thought. But Orange themselves said it's still being tested, but someone did mention to ring back at the end of the week. I may get it on an Orange upgrade but will have to see. |

I've still not heard anything off o2! I'm phoning them now and demanding they send me a new phone today or else. I don't think I've ever been so angry. |

I have the dhl number, and that says it was delivered on monday at 8.45am. o2 don't seem to understand how they got my address mixed up with one in yorkshire! yesterday a nice lady said she'd contact dhl for them to go back to this persons house, pick the phone up and then deliver it to me and that she'd call me today. she said she works 10-6 and she'd call me as soon as she starts work. HAS SHE? NO! I've called o2, and been told that in my 'notes' it says someone will call me. Its as though no-one likes to take responsibility! Do you think I should demand they send me a new k800 today? I don't want some 2nd hand one now anyway! If I don't hear by 3pm I'm calling back and letting off STEAM!! I've paid £49.99 for the phone too!! Can o2 do a next day delivery service for me seeing how they pi$$ed me about so much? |

Just as a side note, i used to manage a cpw store, and when the company run's out of "official" handset stock from the manufacturer, they WILL source from abroad..they did this with the v3, d500... |

@dreamfish,
I would start getting mad now... They have just been messing you around far too much. I think you should phone them up and ask to speak to a manager, if I was you I'd want A: A nextday before 9am delivery of a brand new phone sent from O2 B: some sort of compensation for the hassel you've been put through. It's a joke they are just fobbing you of now. They have your money and I bet they are even billing you line rental, for a phone you haven't got. |

do o2 do a next day delivery then? i will call up and demand it. hopefully there will be a manager on hand! knowing o2 i doubt it though. it's really poor customer service though. the thing is, i can't see them budging with this, because technically, they'll be missing a phone really. they'll put up a good fight i think...i'll get back to you and tell you how it goes. |

@dreamfish, O2 have an £10 option when ordering for next day before 12 delivery, so you should get that at least.
I'm sure they will tell you there isn't a manager, but insist on waiting for one. The loose of the phone is there fualt, so they will have to lose out if that is the case. Your not to blame for them sending it to the wrong place. Be firm, but try been a polite as you can.
Good luck. Although you shouldn't need it as they should be there to help sort out there mess. |

Can you not phone DHL and ask them for a POD for the consignment number that O2 originally gave you, Then once you have this infomation get back onto O2 and try and use this info as a bit of leverage with them. |
