I updated my branded orange uk w800i to R1AA008 ages ago and still have no available updates. This update seemed pointless as i havn't really noticed anything good about it, is there a way to downgrade safely? The main thing i want to fix is the delay when taking photos.(although my phone does seem slower with a 1gb mem stick)

Is orange the furthest behind in firmware updates? because from what i've read, everyone seems to be updating to new firmware.

blue triangle? are you referring to the GPRS coverage indicator? I dont think they'd take that out. there must have been interference in your coverage that's why you dont see it, but i doubt they'd ever take that out. in the W810 onwards, that was been replaced by a 'G' icon for GPRS and an 'E' if an EDGE network is detected

no, i'm talking about the triangle who is up the network bars,
(the net bars are trangle)+ (the blue trangle) = all make a rectangular

look, i have now two k750i in my hand, one with r1bc, and the other with r1ca, and the two have the same theme
in the r1ca one, there is no blue triange, i see onely the barrs, but with the r1bc, it exist.
again, i like it like that

@bono.bel:
That blue triangle on top of the signal bars is indeed the GPRS indicator. You must have deactivated your GPRS somehow and that is why the triangle is gone. SE haven't removed it.

its located at Menu>Settings>Data Comm.>Prefered Services>
then you will have the option to GSM & GPRS or GSM only.

I know what bono.bel is talking about. it is not the GPRS indicator. He means that the network bars apear as if they are inside a rectangle box or frame. This box is gone with the new update.

However, I'm not sure but this effect could be not because of the update but because of the theme used.

I don't get it...everything remains the same as previous firmware...blue triangle? That means your GPRS is active...

Hi all

was at one of Sony Ericssonīs Service Points in Southern Sweden, they fixed my W800i Joystik and its working great.. they updated to latest firmware which is the same in SEUS right now !! No new Update avaible since many months !!

I guess they will NOT release any new Firmware for W800i unless its needed if they discover many bugs ..

Hi i am from Romania, and i bought a K750 from orange. It has firmware version R1AA008 and camera 4.5 .
The phone is locked on Orange, if I change the firware, i will be able to use the phone on other networks?
Do you think i should put a new firmware on it?
Thx

You need to unlock the phone using Davinci or TotalMultiServer - updating the firmware via SEUS wont unlock the phone.

I prefer R1CA to R1AA but now have my K800 in the post.
