elglg - check with the orange before you change your tariff. if i am wrong (rare, but it happens!) then you won't be able to go back on your old orange talk plan.
if you are after the spv you HAVE to sign up for 10 megs of GPRS at a promotional £6/month. this is only for 6 months, and then they move you down to the nearest GPRS tariff under £6 (currently 0.5meg). You could choose to keep 10 megs but as you know, that will cost £25/month.
you can cancel the promotional tariff after 1 month, however, and i assume you would be able to put the orange access pack onto the spv, but i believe you can't run both together.
