Got my R380 and HCA-10 car kit today, and they are in great condition, infact the car kit has never been used, and comes complete with the correct holder for the R380.

Can you post some pics of hca? I've never seen it in the real life. @Boba afaik there were more than one factory in Malaysia(coz of the factory digits in s//n) and maybe some research centres.

Saw a malaysian t39, blue, r2k fw, for sale, donnow the price yet. Cover is pretty worn, but acceptable condition, flip counter ca 5000.

Hi to all, I had a problem with my T29s proto about a day or two ago, seems like its had that "no access" problem again which is as i would say is PREDOMINANT in /// models, seems like it has always been ///'s weakness (the buggy mexican made power amp) which is found in the R320s, T20, T28 & T29, fortunately I got to fix it & everything's working fine now,,,HOPE IT LASTS 
By the way this proto does not have EMS yet & the menus aren't animated either, also when the I got the phone the default lock code is no longer "0000" so i could not do a master reset, any one got an idea on how to get the lock code for this baby?

Maybe it hasnt got that code,cos its a proto. According the no net bug, sounds like the radio apart went wrong.

I guess it does have a code since it prmpts me "wrong code" whenever I enter the default "0000" or something else, & this one's got four games the game (GAME) is not here yet.

Then probably the former owner changed the code. U should ask him. How much is the flipcount?

Which firmware is it? If R1x or proto firmware be carefull with mastereset. I have two dead protos because of masterreset. Proto-firmware has often bugs and it seems so that some one of the majorfunctions, the masterreset, is faulty. This will cause a complete dead handset because it can't start up again. If not really needed, just let it as it is. |

There's nearly no other way to kill an ericsson by software. hardware problem, water etc. may kill it, but that's not the question. Most (99%) of sw-killed /// might be revived, as long as handset is able to start first boot sequence. But you need hard and software to reprogramm the handset. This might be (is) a problem with protos. If the used hardware is different to the final hardware, the final software might cause errors. Or there is no final SW like wakaba, purple, z700 to reprogramm the phone.

@Tiger What's Purple? Part of eri, which was developing satellite phones was merged with sony? Why was production of sat phones "freezed"? And some more questions: is there one global system which's covering all the world or just those ACeS etc? Is there a modem in R190?
