The percentage difference in performance between the S7, X Performance and HTC will be around 1%. So far the S7 camera has looked great but not much of an improvement over the S6 or Z5, a percentage difference of lets say 10% and a single DxO point. Price difference will be more than 1%. Even though I'm pulling these percentages out of my bum, I don't see why people think Sony is so crap. It makes no sense to me.
S6 doesn't need waterproofing....it so awesome that S7 is waterproof. Sony are stupid for having glass....S6 and S7 are glass. iPhone sucks because of non-removable battery and no SD card....its the future because the S6 has it. When people couldn't find OIS on the S7 spec sheet everyone start w**king over how DIS is awesome even before a single photo was taken. It makes no sense to me.
Buying a Sony does not handicap your life in any way but it sounds might do to some people. The lack of leaks and the fact that I'm at work on a bank holiday has slightly influenced my post.
I am happy with Sony still. My Z3 has served me very well since September 2014. Photos turn out good as long as you know how to take photos. The battery is still very good, over a day and half when fully charged.
I don't care for OIS at all since we know that Sony DIS smoked the other competitors with OIS.
The 4 axis joke from Mi5. Ha ha so much for having "the best" image stabilisation on the market.
I am eagerly waiting for the X perforamance or HTC 10.
The Xperia X Performance is only coming to Asia. Unless you're planning on paying high shipping import fees, the best Xperia you could get would be the X. The question is, would it be worth waiting until after IFA2016 for Sony's 2016 flagship phone, if you could wait until then?

Does anyone have an idea what kind of time frame we are talking about from the moment products appear "Register Now" on Sony's website?

It would seem that Sony have now added an additional region, since MWC2016, in that case. Too bad that they didn't include the UK.

Sony have probably had more regions you haven't been aware of.
I live in Colombia right now and almost ever since the X series was announced, Sony Colombian website have had their product site updated with the X series. As for today I even noticed that they have removed two of the colour options for each phone from the X series. All the colour options were posted before when I last checked.
Please release the damn Xperia X Performance and XA now.

At least one colour will be sold in your region. Sony are really shooting themselves in the foot by choosing to not to sell the Xperia X Performance variant of the X in the UK.

Not if they have other, bigger things in line for global release shortly after.
To be honest I'm losing faith in the future of Sony Mobile to compete. I want them to but I may be getting a Mi5 128GB. It is exactly what Sony should have released this month.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

I'll wait for HTC 10 unveiling to decide.. but I don't think I'll have X Performance...
I just hope Sony is still planning a Z5 Premium after the last changes... X Performance is just not worthy the wait... and if that successor is scheduled for IFA then it will be too late...

In Middle East, there's no mention to X Performance, although both X and XA are shown... so technically the Z5 & Z5 Premium will still be the flagship here till IFA if Sony will release their 2016 flagship then...

I definitely think the M5 is worth a consideration. It takes great shots from what I have seen.
The display is good too with warmer colours compared to the Z3 I have (My own observation). Performance wise, it's close to the Z3.

Sony UK lists them on the official website and you said they don't include UK? |

I'm not the only one who has heard that the X Performance is not coming to the UK. If you look through the different media coverage or at Xperiablog, you'll see that it is not: http://www.xperiablog.net/201[....]not-heading-to-germany-and-uk/

carrier not listing it doesn't mean it won't come to that country. US carrier doesn't list any. it all depends on Sony. Carrier listing simply adds another sales channel, but carrier is not the only channel |
