I would NOT hold my breath about anything related to that! Some even state a p995 is coming! Which would make much more sense then putting Symb9.3 into the p990!!! ~

Remember, the upgrade for the P900 came quick and was called p910 !

I doubt strongly that SE will ever do what many here dream of... giving us a new operating system and new features!

But I am gladly wrong with that... [addsig]

@Dogman
Well I forgot to ask the man about the HSDPA! But I will, it is very interesting for me too. P995 - I don't believe that, since they announce soon P700 with A LOT of rumour before. I did not see a single rumour photo of P995 or whatever. What he told me - there are ONLY projects of the next P, after P990

Ok I was just talking to a nice DEVELOPER who works on a P700 proto and has also P990 with R6 upgrade.... These are TWO upgrades for P990 - WITH and WITHOUT 9.3. And he gives 30% for a new Symbian 9.3 in P990. And 70% for the second R6 on the current Symbian. And he also says that P700 is on Symbian 9.2 - there's no phone on 9.3 yet..

the info i got sometime ago was that R6 would be still on current symbian, and later symbian 9.3 firmware version would come, around the p700 launch

however, recent info made me question if the public R6 we will get now wouldn´t be right now with symbian 9.3

from the start, it was told to me that the development of a firmware with symbian 9.3 would take never less than 3 months more (i got the info in early april)

Ive also heard that a new firmware with updated UIQ is on the way. Seeing as the p990 is soon to be discontinuedis it fair to assume that the update will arrive soon?

Well my friend developer I mentioned before told me that it is possible that P990 will run HSDPA with 9.3, IF this phone has necessary chip inside, since it was possible to unblock this ability on Windows Mobile 5.

last night i left my phone beside the bed fully charged (no programmes running, no wlan etc etc) and this morning..
the battery was empty and the phone switched off..
i'm running the latest firmware and thought this shouldn't happen any more? anyone else had this with the latest firmware?

One of the reasons for my Battery drain out was because under the Mobile Neworks setting i was set to 2G/3G, thus in the absence of a 3G reception my fon used to keep on searching for the signal and as a result the battery used to drain out quickly.. So consider switching to a 2G setting only ..!!
