LOL, I had just posted asking you bout the battery and you answered it before it was posted. I had to delete that. Hmm.. In PK's review, he says his is a BT-40 battery, so does that mean BT-33 and BT-40 is interchangeable?

just use the MXE-60. I got really good results with my w900. Its not that big of a deal to carry something as small. Just bring it when you know you'll need extra light.

Could be. My sample obviously used the BST-33. I don't think the battery could have been any bigger in length and width. It was a thight fit. Maybe the battery could be somewhat thicker (BST-40?)

@Doc

I notice you had TomTom as one of your icons. Was there any problems running it on the P700?

I had no problems running TomTom on the testsample. Firmware and software looked identical to latest FW on my M600i, except for the today-screen and arrangement of icons in the main menu.
All programs, trailsoftware, themes I threw at it, worked like a charm (as if on my M600i)

p990 has a BETTER DESIGN than this crap....a LARGER SCREEN SIZE ....MEMORY STICK DUO SUPPORT ...Stop teasing us SE....we are not idiots.....More ram and 1mp more camera in 1 year development......HAHAHA BIG THING.......With this rate they never catch up nokia....(as they did with p800 !!)

Take a look at N95.....and come with a better phone next time....

I KEEP MY P990.....And no money to SE anymore......Until they present a REAL SUCCESSOR !!!!

Where is the internal gps??
Where is the 5mp camera??
Where is the DVD-QUIALITY video recording??
Where is the >1250mAh battery capacity??
Where is the 16million colour screen??
Where are the 5-way jog dial & memory stick duo support??(just stay in a certain format....!!)

One that dies halfway through the day?

Plus, I think that the N95 caters to a different kind of user. (IE: One who has a lot of electrical sockets.)

I agree, I dont think the P700 was made to compete against the N95. The P700 is a worthy successor to M600. IMHO, its a job done right.

gps later in the year, sofia will have 5mp, prob something to wait for, ok well at least it will last longer than n95, 16 million colour screens dont make a difference its a marketing ploy, SE are now - M2 from now on. If your really concerned go to Nokia and keep your complaints out of here! P700 looks to be a hit, nice work!

Its a bit pathetic all that n95 is so better crap, when the p700 has more than 2 times plus ram, and it just has to share k800 or k810 camera to have at least same image quality of n95. Add symbian 9.5, less weight and bulkiness, and i really cant see why the n95 is better

To the people drooling on p700 menus, i must remember older uiq3 phones will have a symbian os upgrade at the same time of the p700 launch, possibly all will share the same kind of menus

I know this has been asked already, but I have yet to see an answer: Does this device support HSDPA or even HSUPA?
IMO much as I love the look and the rest of the specs, without at least 3.6Mpbs HSDPA support this device is a non starter for me.

I'm just keen to see the screenshots of the music player and the radio to see whether there are improvements there too. One thing thats missing is the play/pause button of the p990.
