A bit of conflicting information here. I had no idea until recently that there is another qwerty phone due soon. A bit of digging later, a few people say that it will come this year. Others have told me that it has been cancelled. I have no idea to be honest. I think that this device is a WinMo phone as well. This is not Reese which is still alive but on ice.
This stuff about Hero vs. X3 is understandable because HTC are moving forwards very quickly. By the time X3 comes out, HTC will be on the next level. We know that HTC are testing Tegra, tech demos are amazing with full 3d, transparency effects, crazy multitasking; you name it. Qualcomm have a 1.3Ghz processor which HTC have been testing for some time already, Samsung are going 1Ghz with their own processor as well. X3 is smooth and fast like the iPhone, the UI is eye candy as well but its time to step up and go beyond. Tegra gives 3d menus, this is the way forward.
I eagerly await the full uncropped picture of the X3, maybe we can have a peek at the square phone and its ugly sister sorry, unique sibling. Hope we see the qwerty as well, it should be very advanced in development since there is marketing stuff for this phone...... |

Quite honestly, that theory was put forward by Eldar without any proof and no one else on the internet has said anything about this matter. I'd rather wait for an official word before assuming that SE won't make any more WinMo phones. |

3D menus the way forward? Why? The 3D (or semi-3D?) menus that I've seen from some phone manufacturers are pure eye candy and gimmicky. It may look nice to some, but I don't see it ever being a big feature to me, hell it would only drain the phone's battery faster. No, thanks. |

If SE were axing the WM platform, they wouldn't have announced the X2. It's as simple as that.

Exactly. SE axed two UIQ phones that were production ready just because they were not gonna work on UIQ anymore. Eldar's BS reason of "It was too late to cancel the X2" doesn't fly with me. |

They look the same to me. May be the different designation is just to distinguish the one that comes free with Aino.

xell, as far as I can see the play button is reversed. Maybe it's left-hand/right-hand useage or maybe it's because of the way it sits in the desktop cradle with Aino and the orientation of the media player in Aino that makes it make sense.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |
