@mayacesar

hmm not sure what you mean im not sure that was the answer i was looking for, thanks any way....

I use my p990 with the flip off, i think the image above is the main screen when the flip is on correct?

Can i get the main screen of my p990i to look like that with the flip off, as the 4 icons at the bottom are 'boring'....

thank you

I talked to SE support yesterday. He seemed to know what he was talking about and here is what's new:

1- They are expecting a fw update to be released by SE within 10 days or so. He was pretty sure it would be before the end of the month.

2- Even though SEUS said that my phone had the latest fw, I was told to do the update anyway. Apparently there are some minor updates available already.

As a result of doing the update, the problem I had with FM radio seems to have been fixed. Haven't had chance to try WLAN WPA connection yet, but the support guy said it works now.
I was somehow relieved as I got the impression that SE is aware of the problems and is actually trying fix them.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD

The internet works fine especially when in a 3G reception area, it's faster then my home broadband.

The fastest 3g-transfer is 384kbit... your broadband is lame.

I don't use active sync or Black Berry stuff so deleted both these programmes from the phones memory and got 2MB extra ram.

You probably got 2mb extra space on the phones memory. Not the RAM since none of the active sync or Blackberry-stuff would run in the background after startup. You can only gain ram if you delete or quit applications that automatically start up with the phone.

You can check free ram by pressing "more" and "status" when flip is closed.
If the phone is recently started and no programs runs you should have around 14-15mb free. After a days usage it's often down below 10mb free, even if you exit all the programs.

Make sure that you do a full backup before, including third party software. When I restored after SEUS, I got almost all the applications I installed back, 2 didn't come back, had to re-install them. Contacts and various settings came back correct.

I dont know how you got it to work, but I tried and it didnt work out, plus on their official website :

http://www.novamedia.de/e_pages/e_produkte_mac_ab_plugin.html

It has been specifically mentioned that this software doesnt work with P990:

"Attention: We can not support BenQ-Siemens EF81 and SonyEricsson M600i, P990i and W950i. The system software of these phones is not compatible to Apple´s iSyncİ."

Mates,do you have the record form fm radio?? I notice that even if they SEUS saying that you have the latest firmware, try to flash it again because it fixed some of the problems of mine. When i first flash it my phone restarts itself but after the flashing it again my phone works fine but obviously we still have a memory leakage problem.

HELP!!

i used the alarm function in the phone once in the morning couple of days back...but before it could go off,i had to wake up....now i have not set any alarm since that day but the alarm "bell" icon is still visible next to time in the standby menu.how do i get rid of it??i tried everything i could think of and even read the manual.

Guys, the alarm bug resolved on its on...but it took a week.I had the alarm set on a Monday. The next Monday the alarm rang even though it was not set...again being a Monday,(suffering from Monday morning sickness),i snoozed it half awake.then when i rang for the 3rd time,i pressed silence.with that, the alarm bell icon disappeared.
