Yea that little camera light is wierd, surely that huge square screen with "initialising camera" & then the fact that u can see the screen is a viewfinder are pretty good clues that the camera is on.
Why put a pointless light on the phone but then forget to put one touch "speakerphone on" icon on the screen or an "&" symbol button on the qwertty keyboard.
Also, although i realy like this P990 more & more i use it, i think SE messed up by not intergrating GPS on the phone, if i could talk SE into anything it would be to produce a GPS add on, that fits on where the removable flip cover screws on. they could have taken off infra red to make a bit of space for GPS inside, nobody uses IR do they ?
I know i know MORE battery drain LOL

Yes, it is very good (and easy to put on) and yes, you should definitely use one. |

@ Jejoma,
Cheers buddy, I ordered one from the company itself so will probably take a while to arrive. I have started to use my fingers a bit so I agree I need a protector. |

@nicole
What do you mean? The theme or the shortcut?
If it is the theme, you can simply change the theme to the "Porcelain" one.
Go to Control Panel, Device, Themes and choose "Porcelain".
If it is the shortcut, you can determine which shortcuts to appear and its position. In flip closed and standby mode, press "More" then Shortcuts.

The second question is easy, no you can't, at least not with the current fw available.
The first question, if I understand correctly, you want to have a shortcut menu in fo mode similar to the one pictured in fc mode and you want this to be the default. I'm not sure this can be done either, at least I haven't seen such an option. Unless, you lost the shortcuts in fc mode, in which case you can get them back MORE->Shortcuts->At the bottom Check the box to show shortcuts, uncheck to hide.

this phone is HIGH end phone. It requires a HIGH end user. it's not your everyday user that you can just hand over the phone and expect he or she to use it. the phone needs tweaking. You have to fiddle with it. And most of all, YOU need to know what you are doing with the settings and what are those settings. it requires you to read a 100 plus pages manual. duh.
some got it for this reason only. to show off. some got it for business. the phone is "moddy". one needs to learn how to treat it. it's like a woman, no
offense to anyone here. ::-):
if one masters all these, there is going to be harmony between one and his P990i "toy".

I think this is very true. I have been trying to tell a colleague of mine, who has no patience with such things. I have told him that the P990 is not for him.
BUT IT IS FOR ME! |

COPYING CONTACT TO SIM
I've sync'd all my contacts onto my P990, from Outlook.
I thought I should copy them onto my new 3G SIM, however when i did, after successfully copying 30ish of my 175 contact, a box comes up saying
INFORMATION
Not Found (with a continue button)
It then hangs, until I press the "stop" button
Any idea guys?

Grizlore, Why do you want them on your SIM card? There's plenty of room on the P990 itself. On previous phones when I've moved my contacts to the SIM card there's been a limit of about 100 contacts anyway. |
