Does anyone know if you can buy the slider mechanism as a spare? Or even if a full OEM housing change will help the problem of the 'wobbly' slider?
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

Bit late for me as I usually get phones straight away when they come out but I've taken my time on this one. Have just bought a brand new Copper Bronze C905 (hoping its a C905+) which is the colour I've been wanting to get as I'm fed up of black and silver phones (too common). Should be with me in 2-3 days time. Heres hoping I've not bought a lemon and I get the chance to enjoy using the phone for a while

Been using my C905 for a few days now and its quite a good phone. I'm not a fan of sliders but this seems to be ok. Bought the phone brand new for £150 which was a bargin although upon checking after the phone was delivered. The manufacture date of the phone is 08W45 but the battery is 09W22 so there must still be some early models being packaged up.
Have updated it to R1FA035 firmware and the phone seems much faster than my T700. Also got the conversation thingy on my messages.
Only things I've noticed so far:
Calender is a bit buggy. Each bluetoothed entry I sent from my T700 was 1 hour later than it should have been.
Slight wobble on the slider at the top and bottombut none side to side. My old W910's and S500 used to be the same so I guess its just how make them.
Bluetooth randomly disconnects during phone calls via a bluetooth headset causing the call to transfer to the phone and the mic to mute. I knew this would happen with the C905 as its the same on all the A200 phones I've owned.
Both keypads are quite hard to press. They're very responsive and click as usual when pressed so theres no faults. Has a sturdy feel to them.
Wi-Fi range is poor. 1 room away and I cant get a signal. My LG Crystal also has a poor range but the LG Renoir I had had great range.
Other than that I'm happy with the phone so far and quite glad i bought it but also glad I waited instead of buying it straight away.

@Rookwise
1hr out cal appointment could be the phones being set to different time zones (e.g. one GMT the other BST). |

the same thing happens when i transfer calender events between my various sony ericsson phones(k750,s500,c905)so its not just the c905 with this bug.

@Rookwise:
Are you sure the Wi-Fi's that bad. I mean, I regularly use it on a bench at a square where I'm not even sure where the router is. Prob. at least 30 metres away. I also use it in my room quite often and with excellent signal, having in mind the fact the the router is on the storey below.

I thought that as well which I checked. Both my T700 and C905 are A200 platform and I've set them up exactly the same.

Yeah unless it my wireless router. But my C905 and LG Cystal have the same problem so its not just the C905

I think it all depends on what type of router you have. My C905 can still work well right on the edge of the wifi range (which is only 2-3m shorter than my ps3's range)

Its a D Link air+ wireless G router. Few years old now. With my Renoir I could get a signal from anywhere in my home and also in the back yard so I know its working ok.
My router is se up in the front room of my house. If I'm in the room above and just outside the front of the house I get a good signal. If I'm in the room opposite with stairs and a door in between I just get 1 bar strength. Any further away and I get no signal at all.

I would go for W995 or some other high end phone if I were you... The C905 seems to be a buggy one.
It reminds me of the K850 (and early P990) times. Just like the K850 had problem with the touchboard buttons, the C905 suffers it's issues with the earpiece.
P.S. I hope there aren't any software problems too...
