IMO the K750 takes not just larger images, but superior quality.
If you compare the S700i's version of the keys from the link above..

with the K750's version, you can easily see the K750 takes pictures in much better quality, comparable to a proper dedicated digital camera:

I can see a big difference.

you can't compare with the keys example as the S700i and 6630 does not have macro focus mode, they use a fixed focus lense while the k750i doesn't. |

You do can compare!!! It just shows k750 camera is superior...it has to be for some reason you know, be it autofocus, be it better lens, or other...
Etaab that comparation is amazing...k750 is gonna kick ass

I still think that the K750i's camera is quite a dissappointment.. I mean, while it has good features like Auto Focus and Macro mode... in terms of sharpness and colour reproduction/white balance.. it's not that far ahead.. The Auto Focus is a big leap... but in terms of sharpness and all, well... sorry...
Just look at the picture taken in door, where it's like orangeish in colour (if there's such word, orangeish), look at the book rack.. you can see the K750i is so blur that even the 6630 beats the K750i there in terms of shapness... I think even if you extend the 6630's picture to that of 2megapixel it could match... |

i'm confused.
1. [K750] 2. [S700] 3. [6630] is this the order of the test photos?

if dxreaper examines that picture a little more closely, he'll see that the flowers on the table, and the stuffing material in the "flowerpot" are sharper on the K750, while the book rack is not as noticeably "so blur" as he claims it is. why? cos the autofocus locked on to the table (which is in the centre of the frame).
in any case, i can tweak the white balance, spot metering etc. to bring out the best in my K750 pictures. i can select which part of my picture i want in focus. the 6630 doesn't have these options.

the K750 is definitely best when focusing on one part of a scene. the macro lens on the up-close text is extremely good!
i wish they had photos of people on this comparison... |

When looking at some of the properties, the s700 and 6630 are bigger files. im not too convinced with the k750, it seems soo blurry in the background that even the s700 is more sharper in the back. |

I understand what you mean dxreaper, and everyone else who doesnt think much to the K750 camera right now, but aswel as remembering the phone isnt finished yet so the pictures are bound to look worse..
The people who have taken those specimen pictures and posted them on the net, probably didnt take much time to get the settings correct for the conditions.
Before the S700i was released it was the same, people moaned that the pictures didnt look much better than the GX30 and 7610, yet, once a few Esato users had got their hands on the phone and took time to use the phone as a proper camera taking advantage of its settings, the results were much better.
I expect the same from the K750. Of all the pictures i have seen, most were pretty poor, but one or two showed extreme potential. Those keys pictures are a perfect example, in the S700i and 6630, the pictures look like they were taken with a cameraphone unless reduced in size, while the *good* K750 images rival my old 3mp Sony Cybershot digicam !

Everyone is using this sentence to justify probably better final versions...
At this time present cameras WILL be production cameras as production have to be started do make enough products for all countries to start sales in May. What can improve is firmware but taking the example of other SE products, initial production firmware should be the present one and, about 2 months after the inicial sales, a 2nd firmware with improvements should apear.

Having taken thousands of pictures in my life. I don't see a big difference in any of the pictures, with the exception of the picture with the keys.
I suspect the picture with the keys is from a sony cybershot. I am the owner of three diffent Cyber shot cams. I could almost swear that the photo with the keys is the product of a cybershot cam.
