Sailaab your answer for question 2 is correct but the 1st answer is wrong.

Yellow triangle answer -
Assuming the three sons to be son1, son2 and son3. And assuming son3 answered correctly. It's quite obvious that if son3 had a blue triangle, son1 would have realised that son2 is raising his hand because of the yellow triangle on himself. Same goes for son2. So son3 realised that his triangle must be yellow in color for the other two to be confused.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence of your attempt !! |

Hmmm... actually taht is a good suggestion, I will think about that diffrential rating and announce it with the question.
About googling I take reasonable precaution with the good riddles to make sure that you wouldn't get the answer by googling it. The one above, the traingle one, was one of them. You see I am working hard!!! . So that should be another reason to introduce the diffrential points

and also if son3 has the blue mark then son1(or son2) will realize that he has a yellow mark coz if its a blue mark, son2(or son1) wil not raise his hand in the first place. so son3 thought he has the yellow mark. |

Here is another good one and you will get two points for the right answer
Three men and a horse live in a house on an island. The men find a nice ripe bunch of apples but it takes them all day to get up the tree and bring them down. So they decide to go to sleep and divide up the apples in the morning.
During the night the first man wakes up while the others sleep, looks at the apples, and decides to take his 1/3 of the bunch. Since the bunch didn't divide evenly he gave the extra apple to the horse. After he fell asleep the second man woke up in the same way and took his third, giving the extra apple to the horse. Finally the third man woke up and did the same, taking a third of the apples in the bunch and since it didn't divide evenly into three's he gave the extra apple to the horse.
The next morning the men woke up and divided up what was left into three piles, giving the extra apple to the horse.
What is the least number of apples that could be in this bunch?
