got it. No problem Bro. Sent it to them already. Text kita later.
@gowin
How do you compute for the rate? Sa gprs counter ng P900, may gprs sent and gprs received. are you charged for both?

I was a loyal Globe plan subscriber but switched to Sun when Globe started charging gprs on August 19, 2004.
The Php0.15 is not *true*, in the sense that if you use your phone's data counter, the effective rate will be about Php0.65 to Php0.85.
The probable reason for this is that Globe applies the Php0.15 at least two more times than the two times normally necessary, i.e., phone to apn (sent) and apn to phone (received). Of course, Globe will never properly explain this to their subscribers.
Here is a link to the myGlobe forum. There are better technical guesses there:
http://www.myglobe.com.ph/por[....].asp?TOPIC_ID=3576&whichpage=1
On the other hand, the approx. Php0.27 of Sun can be reliably applied to your phone's data counter, and you can predict the charging. The official rate is Php0.25/kb, but they round it off to the nearest Php0.50.
Having said all this, let me also say that Smart is still the greediest when it comes to gprs charging. The effective rate is around Php1.15/kb, based on handset counter. You can only find this out when you use a prepaid sim. |

Your account was found not to have any GPRS provision. Nasama daw sa mga na-block. Though i don't know what their agenda in blocking GPRS. It should be a default feature of every account! Anyway, it was already reported and we requested it through email to activate it. Just refresh (turning your phone off...taking your sim off then back in..then turn on your phone) within the day. Probably this afternoon. Thanks. |

i dont think sun is actually blocking ur gprs connection.the network is simply unstable.and if u have a signal,the right settings,as well as sufficient load and still cant access...the problem is with sun's HLR/switch.so theres no use on blubbering on our devices.lets march towards suns csr hehehe..relatively on the same angle, network instability should be marring idd,intl txt. |

one time i went to Galleria Suncellular shop for them to check on my GRPS and MMS setting for my p900, sabi ba naman sa akin e "Sir, tawag na lang kayo sa HOTLINE, kasi pang postpaid subscribers lang ang center". DUH??? |

Maraming salamat bro!
Yung int'l txt, nakakadalawang Sun prepaid sim na ako pero di talaga makatanggap. I even created an account at Chatbar kasi int'l text ang source nun. Ayaw pumasok sa Sun sims ko pero sa Globe, ang bilis. I can SEND, though.
Yung Sun Shop na patatawagin ka pa sa CSR, the 1st time I experienced that (mga last Aug.), ibang klase ang feeling. Parang nagbaligtad ang universe, he he!! Nung panahon ng tatay ko, pupunta ka sa ofis para sure ang serbisyo. |

I'm using a sun cellular sim on a nokia 6630. I can't connect through gprs because it says "unable to connect, check connection settings". I used that sim before on a nokia 7610 and I was always able to connect through gprs (apn:wap). So why can't I connect now using a 6630? Is it because the settings saved in my 6630 are the settings for 7610? Because 6630 is a new model, The Mall still doesn't have any settings for the 6630. Or is it because 6630 is Edge-capable and the 7610 settings is not for a Edge-capable handset? Or is it because my sun sim gprs has been blocked or deactivated? 2 weeks ago, it had zero balance but after 2 days I reloaded it and now it still has 50 pesos balance. I can't test the sun sim on other gprs-capable handset because at the moment the only unit I have is the 6630.
Any idea would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! |
