I'd be absolutely terrified of it snapping in my pocket ha ha. But, I think I'd find the black bars of wasted screen really annoying when watching videos.

I wish that concept be discarded and never be used as it looks awful. Sony should follow what Xiaomi has done with My Mix. You get less bezel without sacrificing media contents. And they have done an almost bezel less phone before with Xperia ZL. So i think Sony can pull off what Xiaomi has done. |

Well, the new design is about to debut at MWC 2018. If it will be a near bezel-less design though, that remains to be seen.

I have a feeling that SONY Mobile will not implement a Dual Camera on Xperia.
Not for sure about the reason though. But I give up my hope for Xperia with Dual Camera already.

Don't give up hope. I'm pretty sure they will release a phone with dual camera phone next year. They said they want to push the boundaries of single lens camera first but they are experimenting with dual camera sensor. Sony mobile CEO said next year sony mobile will see a design revolution and I'm hopeful they will also adopt dual camera sensor for their phone as well. |
