In my country c901 costs about 230euro. so the prices through the world are about the same.the problem in my country is that ordinarily salary is 250e. which means you got to go hungry to by a phone!

Holy crap, that's not much. I, as a 16 year old boy, get more

Anyway, C901 is €300 here, bit too much if you look at the competition, but nice phone I think

Just got mine the other day. So far so good.

I'm trying to make a profile where the phone still rings, but SMS tone is silent/turned off at the same time. Anyone know if this is possible?

Go to Settings, Sounds & Alerts. Scrool down and under Message Alert select No Sound.

Thanks for that!

i'm wondering if its possible to set it automatically for each profile, so that for example:

- Normal profile would have a call ringtone, but no sms tone

- Meeting profile would have a call ringtone, and a sms tone.

I'd rather it changed automatically instead of having to make the change you suggested each time.

Not that I know of. If you go to settings, profiles, more/options, view and edit you will see what can be changed for each profile.

I've decided to hold off buying a C901 off ebay as I just received a heads up from Sony Ericsson that the C901 will be coming to the UK within the next 2 weeks.

c901 users:

how is the video recording quality?
C510 in broad daylight records more fluid videos than the likes of c702, c902, k850.
all of them feature qvga 30 fps video recording capabilities.

Yea I hope C901 is released everywhere, so the support for it is a lot better. Its such a great little phone I don't understand why it hasn't had a wider release.

Well. Unfortunately I decided not to wait and have bought an import C901. Reason is that i've found out in the UK the Greenheart C901 will be an O2 exclusive so if you buy it on pay and go it will be locked and branded. The black version will be available exclusive from Carphone Warehouse which will also have CPW's new software branding but will be unlocked. Cost will be in the region of 250 gbp. Other than that. It can be bought completely sim free direct from Sony Ericsson's eShop for a bit more. My decision to buy an import is because I wanted a silver model and i've only paid 165 gbp for it. Can then install UK firmware on it at a later date.

afaik, it's easy to get unbranded phone, you just need to change your cda and update it via seus to get generic one, or flash it manually with a2uploader.
