Just for simple correction @bavlondon, since the VGA(K700 vs 6600) and 1.3mp(S700 vs 7610/6630) era SE has been the top dog in imaging over nokia it's not mainly due the optics used, but the sensor itself - during the 1.3mp reigning years, only mobile-review had declared 6630 better than S700 image quality wise. the rest of the review sites embarasses eldar's assumption. |

So your saying MRs opinions are not to be taken literally when they talk of the N95 and N82?
Thats a joke right?

@bavlondon2
I'm afraid I have to say I have not suffered any of the problems you mentioned, and I am not a power user of my smartphone but the features I do use have been fine, especially the connections manager? No idea what you reffering to with that as mines been totally fine. With regards to profiles, it's really one thing I could not care less about, to me switching the phone into flight mode, switching it into silent mode with one press, is easy as pie?
I gave up using the profiles on my last Nokia after a month or 2 and just stuck to 1.
And with regards to the P1i's pricing, if I remember expansys sold it for 350? when it first came out and it still costs 295, so it has held it's value better then the N95.
I use my phone with Tom Tom for my satnav, I have an external bluetooth GPS so I do NOT want a built in GPS, and to use satnav with a Nokia whilst driving is not the same as touching the screen. So that 1 reason alone will mean I'll never get a Nokia.
G900, touchscreen, runs Tom Tom, good camera with a vastly improved interface, finger friendly interface, I can stick my 2GB mem card in it. Comes with quick office, smaller then the P1i. Equals perfect for me.
The G900 is also smaller then the N82, the hardware inside the phone is still speculative, it will have to have a redesigned board for it to be smaller, not just a shrunk version of the P1i and I have read lots of posts stating the P1i's chipset won't handle a 5MBPX camera, it also has a new screen and touch interface as it's hard plastic and coated in a layer to prevent smudges.
And I will not compare the G900 to the N95 as they are in totally different classes, but I do feel with the N96 Nokia have run out things to put in a phone? Again the N96 is just an improvement on the N95 as it just has a built in TV tuner which is new, which to me is frankly daft that the idea was ever thought up, still each to there own. So IMO Nokia aren't innovators either. The N95 was pretty impressive bar it's stupid battery life, but the N96 doesn't offer anything new. What would you expect from these ranges?
The G900 is a new model range, there cheap and small and better then previouse UIQ phones. Perfect. |

You're not making much sense, just for the record. |

Apolla expansys is always expensive. Its down to under 250 here and the N95 is nowhere near that:

To see how well NOKIAs can keep their prices look at the N93 and N93i even the N91-8GB in some places.

Not sure about the N91 8gb but the other 2 have been discontinued however I know the N93i was around 390 at time of being discontinued.

Well the N93 did win
"Nokia N93 wins phone of the year Media Phone of the Year for 2006-2007 by the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA). And the votes were accross 18 countries so i guess that would make it 18 units sold worldwide right? lol
Its quite funny actually the N93 came out over 2 years ago and still no SE has managed to match its CPU.

I have been looking for a phone like G900 - are they going to have UIQ 3.3 when released? If not, how long does it take before an upgrade is made available, usually? |

Have you heard of the X1? It has 528Mhz CPU blows away E90 and N95's CPU hands down. Refer to Xperia X1 thread and read aksd's posts for enlightenment
