Well I guess that the shop model you tried was likely the way its supposed to be because the phone is only a few weeks old, so it can't be that worn yet! So if you don't really like it, I'd say wait for the W760i. But then it depends on what you didn't like about the W910i as they should be fairly similar!

As far as I know theres no way to transfer T9 dictionaries. I guess you'll have a bit of a project when you get your new phone!

Had the W890i for a while now.

Has anybody else noticed how slow the phone gets when bluetooth is connected?

I have the HBH-DS970 bluetooth headset and use it everyday to listen to music on the tube. When I try to use the phone whilst the headset is connected it's very slow to use. Menu's are slow to navigate and don't bother trying to use a java app. Even navigating the walkman screen is slow.

Other than that, great phone!

@Classicguy

just wondering how stable is the fw?

i'm using a k850 and am thinking of buying w890, fed up of slow interface and bad camera pics,plus the latest k850 seems to give 90% of users a brick in return

user interface is the same as k850/w910 in terms of speed...

i had a couple of each of the above phones. i didnt have any software issues which many people are having here. Only issue i had was lagging when in the media app....

W890i is the same. Lags a couple seconds in media app whilst browsing/loading! Other than that, rest is stable.....

Same problem here. No album art..

Odd really, cause I just uploaded some CDs using the SE MediaManager software and the album art just appeared on the phoneautomatically for most of them.

very good price they have, check it out!

Thanks for that link mate. I have been trying to find a US retailer for ages now but none so far would ship to the UK. Anyway thanks.

Question to all w890 owners. I read somewhere that the W890 comes pre installed with a IM app. Is this true?

I see. Thanks for that.

So how is the phone generally? Is battery life good enough to get through a day and a half at moderate usage?

Info regarding mp3 tag and SonyEricsson phones,

Track# 1,2,3,....,10,11 ->OK
Track# 01,02,03-> NOT ok

Complete support for mp3 tag version ID3v1, NOT ID3v2

Add pic inside your mp3 files, test mp3nity www.littlelan.com/mp3nity/
Works great.
