what's wrong with Barthez...can't he for once hold onto the balls?Portugal almost scored an easy goal from a freekick. And what's up with the Portuguese falling all over the 18-yard box.

WOOOOOOOOOOOO! What goes around comes around muahahahaha, what sore loosers still arguing with the referee after the game what great sportsmanship hey.

They were diving all over the place, blatant cheating i for one am glad that France won not just because they have knocked Portugal out but because they played well and i believe Zidane deserves to go out with a bang.

Best of luck to France hmmm who was it who said go out and buy some kleenex think you need to go out and buy some and then eat it. Oh yeah and Ronaldo got booed throughout the game now how many of those fans are going to be English hey?

Just goes to show that it is not just the English who were disgusted by his behaviour in the last game but most of Europe aswell.

Such a shame that a team like that had to knock out England really they did not make the most of the slim chances they had. Even my Grandad wanted France to win and he was made up hehehehe.

You finnaly showed what you really are MISS COPERFIELD..

TELL ME WHAT DID YOU GOT???

congrats to france, we had no champions luck tonight

there was a penalty for each, but the power of the shirts is too much for some refs

but i think we should have scored even with that, that Figo miss was incredible

great game by Ronaldo, even with the booing from the loosers of always - guess what, they weren´t french

Postiga was miserable, and made some stupid dives (like Ribery by the way)

But...its tradition, like we always win over england and holand, we always loose with France, with a penalty by Zidane

now, i await for the newly formed anglo-french support group, looks like they´ve won something tonigh

p.s. we are one of the 4 better teams in the world, we made France to stay the all time after the goal in their midfield and wasting time, so we have nothing to be unhappy...our participacion in WC was a sucess, not like some super stars

eat this

ARRRRHHHH! I will go and cry myself to sleep now i am so upset lol!

My arse you should have had a penalty, they were dropping like flies and you know it, ask anyone not just people in England what they think and people will say that they were falling over on purpose without even being touched.

Would a manager with any respect for a better team argue with the referee after the match did the England manager argue and shout after we got knocked out, did France dive all over the place looking for a penalty anyway they could get one urm no.

Henry did not dive he was brought done and the penalty was deserved, if diving is a tradition then i feel really sorry for you i do, you ripped it out of us so if you can dish it out you should be able to take it right?

Ronaldo did have a good game but it was spoilt by the diving in my opinion. Figo played well also but they failed to create any chances, you got to the semi final by some great saves by your keeper nothing more than that. Just friendly banter that is all, all us England fans had to put up with you lot so there you go.

@Arez: I feel for you but in the same breath the Portuguese players couldn't get any sympathy from a right-thinking ref after that Holland game. I lost all the little respect players like Ronaldo that evening.

GERMANY 0 - 2 ITALY

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4991640.stm

"Only a couple of superbly-executed Italian goals could separate these two very evenly-matched teams on a night of high drama in Dortmund. Once again, Marcello Lippi’s side defended magnificently and the superb Buffon has still to concede a goal at Germany 2006 to an opposition player. However, while it is the Azzurri who march on to the Final, Germany - beaten in Dortmund for the first time ever - can reflect on their FIFA World Cup campaign with pride, having played throughout with spirit and skill in abundance."

PORTUGAL 0 - 1 FRANCE

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4991632.stm

"Zidane’s 33rd-minute penalty proved to be the difference between the two sides in a FIFA World Cup semi-final, which was high on perspiration if not inspiration. Les Bleus defended well when it mattered, although they were not tested enough by a Portugal side lacking a distinct cutting edge."

Well its time to support our Italian cousins...come on Totti...

P.s we still got to play the German's for third place...I am sure we will take it...the highlight of the match had to be Ricardo coming all the way from his post to for the corner kick in the dyin minutes.. Brought tears to my eyes man...damn.

"onaldo tried to win a spot-kick of his own moments later, but his theatrical dive under the slightest challenge from Willy Sagnol was ignored by referee Jorge Larrionda."

Brix, can you tell me what did Ronaldo do against Holland that make you so upset? Maybe being attacked by a dutch hitman?
