Working in FOff, the DEL key doesnt operate as back key when in a menu. Somebody tell me theres a back key on the keyboard as well?
Also, is the only way to dial a phone number by opening the phone app? In standby, the 1-0 keys do not do anything.

This is probably one of the best comments I have heard about the P990
I will wait for at least one more fw upgrade before passing verdict, however I have doubts about the amount of RAM available.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

If you want to use P910 applications on P990 it is simply not possible and at the same time extremely strange that you didn't know that. Or I didn't understand your problem. |

I didnt want to believe it. The back key on the side means I have to reposition my hands from the keyboard while the DEL key is unused. Its a joke. |

Are there any tools to help with searching the contacts book? It seems I can only search by surname. I've got 1,700 numbers in here, and I'd like to be able to search on other fields, just as job description and notes. My rubbishy old Blackberry instantly does that for exactly the same number of contacts. For that matter, my old Palm would search across its entire memory. Surely the P990 can do the same? |

To Iyad: to make Windows recognize the .sis files first launch PC Suite and click the Application Installer. Point it to the .sis file and after a confirmation from now on you'll be able to use the .sis files by just clicking on them. On the other hand the guys are right, the older .sis won't work with the "new shiny secure" UIQ3. Plenty of free java apps on the net though... And the .jar files work the same way as described. |
