@abu: I mean nothing by this but I am pleasently suprised by your interest in the "SEARCH". I would volunteer my resources but like most people in our country, I have no online downtime.

I keep a sceptical eye out for any news though.

Alas, I fear the search may be long and fruitless but it its important that it is done.

Anyone interested in bikes over here? I know AYA is....

@egunj: the thing i like about science is that 99.99% of the discoveries made happen when looking for something else!!! If the fruit you expected was little green men from alpha centaury, the fruit you might get might be a unexhuastable free energy source!!!

@all: i was surprised not to see a long thread on brazil vs ghana!!! no one should complain!!! if naija, cameroun etc failed to qualify that instantly makes africa mute!!!anything that happens ( even unseen offsides!!!!) should be taken with a spoon of sugar!

Was disappointed with Ghana's performance earlier this evening...don't whether those strikers were overawed at playing against Brazil but they were truly awful even when their midfield was working overtime. France vs Spain was pretty good, especially the the last 20 minutes.

men you guys should stop expecting Ghana to give what they dont have, simply put they lack Quality in front of goal though that brazilian team has no 'bling'. Experience won above youthfulness, thats for spain-france

I couldn't agree more with you Brix, Spain vs France was quite a match.

@Egunje: I don't fancy bikes at all. Give me a speedy car, and you've made my day.

@All: Some news from the telecoms world. Nokia has decided to stop manufacturing cdma phone sets, claiming slow sales as its main reasons.

Starcomms rolls out 3G data services in Lagos, deploying 1xEV-DO technology. Claims 2.4MegaBit/Sec download will be achieved.
Now we're getting somewhere, as other PTO's are bound to follow suit.

I just wish Vmobile (or is it now Celtel?) would at least deploy EDGE and allow us test run it free for like 6months

Brix i agree with u as regards those Ghanian strikers. They lack what it takes to be in a world cup finals.
Nevertheless, the officiating of these W cup matches is a big minus 4 football.
@ALL... What is FIFA'S decision on Graham Poll?

When Zidane scored his goal I almost leaped from my bed, most of the last 16 games were duds...The Portugal/Holland game on Sunday almost killed my interest in the supposed beautiful game.

Any news on when UMTS is launching in Naija? MTN are talking about it in the SA press but say it's subject to regulator approval. What about Glo?

@Abu: I have similar thoughts on the subject of the search. It would not change my view of life radically life if we did find chewie's relatives. However I will be first to go over over to EXPLORE "7of9" or T'pau of Star Trek:) I also think that real progress in the exploration of space will come from the private sector seeking profit while goverment should only act as they do - as regulators. Though a lot of this is a bit far off.

Bikes are my passion. I have two when I was in school and I have had two in the time after university. I am currently saving up to buy a hayabusa...Suzuki GSXR1300. The plan is not to let the wife know about it till its too late....

Yes, Ducatis are cool and there is a rather flash new one with 204ish Bhp

costs about 35K pounds

@amby: I am a car person to. It has to be fast to last with me. I currently have an e34 M5 as my only car for the past four years. The lenght of time it has been with me has more to do with a paucity of funds than any thing else.

@Brix: No word from MTN on UMTS yet, and nothing from Glo either.

@Egunje: I will tell your madam about your plans to "kill yourself" with a 35,000GBP monster dishing out 200 horses on Naija roads
