we have both the c905 and c905a here in Australia. The c905a is being sold by Telstra.
should have just made one version for worldwide. The c905a is exactly what that is.

Anyone know if it is possible to do a US firmware update to enable the triband UMTS/HSDPA on a C905? |

A friend of mine has bought the 09W3 IceSilver version, appearently the built quality has become better than the ones which were made in 2008.
The keypad is much better than my previous C905, and each key would click properly as they should. Additionally the slider is uber-smooth and seems not to have any contacts with the keypad, therefore no scratches have appeared (the scratches on my CooperGold version startet to appear 5minutes after i bought my phone).
This sounds promising, ...still i'm worried something might go wrong, otherwise i'm still all for C905's outstanding camera performance and cool features.
Has anyone still struggling Earpiece failure, keypas scratches on their C905s (2009 models)?

i have a 09week4 model as a replacement for a 08 week 43 and all i can say is that the 09 model that i have now is worse than the 08 one build-quality wise

Radu, that's a lie. If you really hate C905 why not go for N82 instead.
Mine is 09W04 too and have no earpiece failure or keypad scratches (yet). |

Mines has been fixed a few times 2008 model new keypad and it gets scratched in a different place every time.
I wonder why they can't get to the bottom of this? |

i dont have any reasons to lie this is the truth : the slider is worse, the keypad is worse , the buttons are harder to press ,this is the second C905 on which i have dust under the lens, the battery cover creaks and by the way i already have a N82 with which i have no problems.

If you already have the N82 why buy the C905 in the first place? And all those problems you mentioned are absent on mine anyway. |

Well, that's sad to hear... I also prefer SE's but I can't ignore if other makers have a really good phone. But I'm still heavily biased against Nokia and I don't know why. The crap batteries probably. |

i don't like nokia very much either due to the UI which is far worse than A200 from SE |

Can you identify what problems you're currently having with your 2009 C905 aside from Stiffed Dpad? (Earpiece, keypad scratch)
Se_80, >
Perhaps the reason would be your phone is actually made in 2008, and that would be why the problem keeps coming back (maybe the distance between the upper part and the keypad part of the slider is little). |
