Is it too late to buy a C905? I mean is this phone getting old while the W995 will be released in 2 months?
I called the cell shop this morning and the price is still high...480$ !!!
If I sell my 5800 I could get only 200-250$ |

@vegetaleb: I agree with you and yet I still bought it at roughly $450. Guess I'm a real fanboy now. |

Surely you either like sliders or you don't. Do you automatically get bored of something after a certain length of time?

So I did a FOTA update for the first time in my life, now running R1DA032, and guess what? All my apps and contacts stayed unharmed! How is that possible?
Using the Update Service on the phone to do an Over The Air update will keep the data intact, but it's worth noting that you usually wait a lot longer for the FOTA version, compared to using the online (PC-based) update service.
FOTA was never available for me, I would always do updates via the cable, I was surprised to find it available. With WiFi it took seconds to download the update, worked flawlessly. |

Touch screens are boring and easily full of finger traces, sliders wobble sooner or later!
They have both their charm too, sliders are stylish while touch screens are more ''up to date'' technology
I preffer touch for fast smsing but sliders for the cool style!
C905 is a very nice slider but I will wait for a serious review of the LG Arena first

waw a 2009 model!! You are on the safe side
From what week did SE produce a relaible C905?
Mine's 08W45, now in for it's 2nd repair.
Its just speculation based on problems posted by members here that phones after 08W45 are reliable. Wouldn't bet on it though. |

Yeah, my 09W04 model still suffers from a wobbly slider and lens cover, but that's about it. |

As long as that's all that's wrong with it, then fine. But I'm talking about the earpiece and keypad failure issues, of which I've become all too familiar lately! |
