I don't know if this is a bug, or that my device is faulty?

It only appears when I read messages, and in FO.

If it's dead pixels, it would always be there, right?

It's the black "arrow" on the right side.

Its not a bug, nor your device is faulty. That arrow separates numbers from letters in hand writting. When you writte a message use your pen above the arrow to writte numbers i.e. below the arrow to writte latters. If you want big letters then writte a letter on the same level as the arrow.

Dead pixels, that was a good one. With i little thinking, you might even think there was a pattern to it, maybe even aliens make the dead pixels look like an arrow, hum.....

@Johnex

Since we descovered it was not alien`s arrow we can freely say it was not a real problem, don`t we.

Call the Men In Black!

But yeah, we don't mean to piss people of, there are just certain rules before posting at esato:
1. Read the Manual.
2. Read any previous posts.
3. PM members if the question sounds funny.

Well guys and grls ..I have been using p990 for over two weeks now ..
Have had no problems with it at all:Nice sound(headphones) ,large screen ,pdf and all,Business card Scanner ultimate app of them all..Superb Looks,Great camera,Speed of the phone,The browser is good,High quality sound while talking:something which i think was missing in w800.

Great camera though i am havin problems trying to focus properly(dunno know why), i could do that easily on my w800,

Some little problems namely: That replace main batteries problem which i think everyone is facing once , then that app kernel closing thing which i know will be sorted by the next firmware.

Only 1 thing i dont like abt this phone is that its loudspeaker is too slow ...cant seem to find a way to cope with that especially after using w800 and most of my frnds having phones with great speakers in them.

Is everyone here satisified with their p990 Loudspeaker sound ..I m not !

Have installed Swiss manager and agile mesenger ...everything is working fine ..

@some of the people here
they cant seem to find a way to switch of the backlight while charging :well for those--> its possible
go to tools\\control panel\\device\\backlight and swith the options in this to "Auto".

One more question: Which is the latest firmware available for p990 .if i dont have the latest one i should update.
I currently have R3B01 as pda software and R7A001 as phone software.
Thankz

Hey Guys,

I havent bought P990 yet and I have P800 right now. I have been reading some really contradictory comments on this phone, but I finally decided to get it. Now I was wondering if you guys have any suggestion on where to get it from. I live in Canada and P990 is not in stores yet, so I have to get it on some kind of online store. I was thinking maybe Ebay, but I dont know if I should trust them. And do you guarantee is a big deal on this phone?!!

Any comment will help,

Cheers

@Jah, whats that about a "real warranty" all p990's are covered by se warranty, for a period starting at the date under th battery, their service centres cover any manufacturers faults, regardless whether u bought it new from a store or new or secondhand on ebay.
Reminder; milk, sugar, crisps, post letter.

@pachy, i guess by 'real warrenty' he means one that is actually worth something to the end user. there would appear to be very little SE can 'fix' under warrenty as they can't sort the phone out. it's like buying a car without wheels, only to discover that you can't get wheels for it.
