Just wonder-it seems not many W800 users here strongly demand for the new R1CA021 as their fellows' K750 F/W has been released first... Just recall when R1BC002 for K750 was out a week earlier, many posts posted here demanding when the W800 version would be out..is it because they have upgraded to W810?

@Blade Runner
so you didnt really answer my question, "Did You Upgrade Your Firmware?" try it and you'll know the different, or i might advise you to take few more picture with your R1BC002 firmware before doing so..

I have not upgraded to R1CA as I have a W800. Not in much hurry either as am pretty happy with R1BC. But, I have taken an interest in looking at the comparison photos people have posted of R1BC and R1CA. I've always found the vertical grid lines in the K750/w800 extremely annoying and the biggest let down of the camera. From what I can see from the R1CA images the grid lines appear to have been reduced. If so I think that is a big improvement.

Wow!!!!

Finally i am very happy after having been through every firmware from the start.

Here is what i noticed:

- Good sound when calling. not any distortions(R1BC002) or hissing sound(R1AA008).

- And my K750 doesn't dropp calls anymore!!! Like it did with R1BC002. This is now a major BIG problem with the W810 Users.

- It's smoother in the meny navigation.

- The sound volume seems to have been turned DOWN a bit. WTF? (I know this because i compared it to my girls K750i with R1N035. Max volume now is exactly the same as R1N035 firmware.

Now i never wanna upgrade again.

Do you think that they should have increased the camera version to 5.3 on R1BC instead of this latest fimware??

It may look that the version number has increased significantly with no noticable change to functionality on the K750. However, it is worth bearing in mind that the camera software is for a platform and not just for a single phone or small set of phones. As an example, this camera software revision may be to include support for the new 2MP fixed focus lens that SE is using on some of it's newer (non-Cybershot) phones.

Respect! Let me give one note to your post #1. You list ITP CXC 125 932 R1B in every review of f/w. Why? It's a calibrating firmware version for testing capacity for work in the factory and later never changes. Please delete this line coz it has no useful info.

Sorry if someone has already said this but i don't understand why the update service tells me that the latest software is already installed and then continue anyway? (what would be the point?)

(I wan't the firmware to be up to date for Orange branded w800i, I'm still stuck with R1AA008)

Coz you have got w800 and there is no available update for w800 on SEUS. Wait!
