Can someone please tell me when I imported my contacts on my new X10 they each appear 4 times

Have that occured on a few occasions too. Simply wipe the phonebook of all contacts and (assuming you've backed them up to the SD card) import the most recent backup. Should be fine thereafter.

@ Orka - SE service told me today that for my phone which is brand Cosmote with Customization Version 1234-7536_R6A, the latest FW is R2BA020 and not R2BA023 as you got from SEUS. Do you have the exact same phone info as mine or is yours different? I'm just wondering because the EMMA system that SE service centers use is the most up to date update system over SEUS and OTA. I'm getting the update tomorrow anyway but I was also wondering what differences between 020 and 023 are. Actually at the PTCRB website there's also 024 and 025 availabe for various regions / operators.

@ ALL - Since I got my new replacement X10 from SE service 10 days ago, the phone's clock has lost time 4 times. I'm not sure if it is a problem with the phone or my network operator (WIND), so last night I unchecked the Auto time update by the network, to see what's causing the clock to lose time. So far it's showing the correct time. Anyone else experienced this problem?

Noticed something today, when i was about to help a friend set sms-tone, you can't use your own only system sounds per default? if you use handcent you can browse whatever, but thru media scape and the system settings you can only use android system defaults

Yes that happened to me it never gave me the option to choose from the library I had to goto Media Scape

you can only choose ring-tone in media scape  not sms notification.. or am i doing it all wrong ? pressing the "meny" button

That's what I am finding yet when I had the X10 Mini it never did that. Though this does not bother me so much to be honest

If you put your message tones on the SD card in a folder named notifications, you can browse for tones thru the message app settings and sound & display settings. I set up a media folder, in it a folder called audio and within this folder, 3 other folders named alarms, notifications and ringtones. From mediascape you can only set a ringtone, not a msg or alarm tone. This way also your msg, alarm and ringtones won't show up under your Tracks in Mediascape, they only show under recently added. If you wan't using for example, Astro File Mngr, you can place the above media folder with all it's sub folders on the phone memory in the System folder where all the system sounds are and this way they won't show in Mediascape at all. |
