According to huyui's rumor z4 international model will be FHD, not QHD. My guess is that snapdragon 805 is not powerfull enough to support QHD, so Sony choose to use FHD Display.
Motorola and Lenovo is considering to postpone their Snapdragon810 product
and xiaomi is even considering not to launch product with snapdragon810.

I hope this is bullshit, but, well, suddenly the Phone Arena news (almost) makes sense... If this is true, Sony should rather delay the launch of the Z4s until Qualcomm fixes the 810, instead of using the 805, the Z3s is still hot enough anyway.

I asked a local Sony exec who is good in "guessing" Sony's future plans about the SD805 thing. She said that from the looks of the things, Sony will probably lunch Z3 Ultra with SD805 early in 2015 and Z4 with SD810 in second half. She insisted that she's just guessing and this is what makes the most sense to her. |

Korean guy who told me about snapdragon810 said Z4 will have 4gb of ram.
And it's also high speed clock. |

I don't think the 805 would have any problems with QHD when the 801 also can push QHD, as in the LG G3.
If there were problems with the 810 why would the reference hardware go on sale for shipping in mid december?

If there were problems with the hardware, I feel this wouldn't be available just yet. Whoever this korean is that is familiar with the industry, might have a stake in Samsung stock in order to post his profits haha. |

The Z5 won't be out until 2016 as Sony are ditching the 6 month flagship cycle. The Z4 is likely to be out at the beginning of Q2 giving them almost 5 months or so to get the hardware right and I'm 99.9% sure it will launch with the SD810. MWC isn't until March and until confirmed by Sony every thing is a rumour and there is plenty of them flying around.

The article states Snapdragon 810....
"The entire Xperia Z4 family of devices, the Xperia Z4, Xperia Z4 Ultra, Xperia Z4 Tablet, and Xperia Z4 Compact, will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset"

If they release the next flagship with 805 they might as well quit the mobile business. You could do that a couple of years of ago when the competition wasn't so though. I think Sony knows this too so I guess it wont happen. If 810 is delayed they should delay their phone also |
