One of the new applications will be the new walkman version 3.0. It will support the arrangement of your tracks by bpm (beats per minute). I've heard something about a feature that makes it possible to listen to your music while you're phoning.
But don't ask me about the sense of the latter function

Can you say whether Sofia will have Walkman 3.0 like they said over in the Mobile-Review of the Nokia N95? |

208Mhz nexperia is optimized only for business use i think, Ti-OMAP 2420 is faster, yet it powers the 5Mp camera better than that junk CPU does so if sofia utilizes UIQ and has 5mp camera, the 208Mhz won't be adequate and will drag the image processing speed to a mere 20 seconds to capture the subject if that's the case!!! but sees this issue already and i guess they will use that TI-omap 2420 CPU to their 5Mp media phone

Or SE wont include UIQ in Sofia for that very reason. |

no UIQ 3.1 in sofia?
i don't think so , the evidence is clear afaik, even shaliron mentioned it in this topic. the wider QVGA screen tells us it already, and the number of softkeys are evenly matched with the number of softkeys in motorola rizr Z8 i guess.
one hint, if some source could confirm sofia's video framerate to reach 30Fps at QVGA, then i'm very sure it'll be utilizing the TI-omap 2420 CPU
this is because if we construct some history, some topics have already mentioned the weakness of the nexperia CPU to record 30 FPS videos in QVGA, so the only CPU afaik to enable 30fps recording was the CPU evidently compatible with UIQ 3.1; the 2420!!!
>>> but if it's confirmed to be a non-uiq phone(hope it's not true ), but retains the 30FPS @ QVGA, then i suspect that the processor powering the device was the NVIDIA GoForce 5500(W900 video chip is v4800, and this GPU allows only 3.0mp max resolution so obviously the sofia won't use it in it's 5mp sensor ) one just like in W900i

There was a rumour mentioned several times that Sofia is having a 5500 Geforce graphics chip. The only problem is that nothing is confirmed so anything is possible! Oh well, only a few weeks away all shall be revealed (fingers crossed) |

razec I suppose you're right or at least - very near to the truth. We know SE are investing on stability/lower power consumption,so I'll add some other appropriate ones, which are from the same OMAP family(or next ),just a little bit better for the case.I'm talking about the OMAP 2430 and(I'll be happy if that's the case ) the OMAP 3430(though doubtfully we'll see it in a phone before 2008,but its a nice overkill )

God I hope it's not UIQ, I have yet to see a Symbian phone that impresses me in speed & usability, where as the OSE phones are really zippy and a dream to work with.
edit: also everything I've heard points toward an OSE phone: stuff like access netfront 3.4 etc. my prediction is that it'll be a Z750 in candybar form with a 5 MP cam, nothing more nothing less. and it'll hit the stores at the same time as Z750 (since they're essentially the same software/hardware platform, and hence have the same testing/debugging cycle)

It will NOT be uiq. Playdead over at m-r confirmed. The 3 softkeys probably just means that se have developed their non-smartphone os to be similar to uiq. Just like how s40v3 is similar to s60. Anyway, sofia will hav a 250mhz processor and a 3d chip onboard. Cheers |

this could be just true. or if you think about it again, UIQ3.1 non TC would fit the gap perfectly.
instead of staying with the old interface and software, which limits applications and additions. switch to the new smart OS...
btw, i think 14 th of june ( as some indicated ) would prove to be a very interesting date. complete with 4 to 5 handsets. quality innovative
handsets ......
