Could I ask you guys to check something on the P990?
Please switch on the FM radio and tune in to a reception that is strong. Wait for a minute or so and change the channel. If it's still working, go back to the original channel and close the flip. The FM radio will be iconized at this point. Call up the radio using task manager (still in fc mode) and try to change channels. If your phone hasn't rebooted yet saying it recovered from a system error, just listen to it for about 5 minutes, meanwhile adjust the volume every once in a while. Let me know if it works, because on my phone it never does !! |

Hi Guys,
Sorry to have come this late in the forum. I have a Sony Ericsson P990, can I use that for Cingular ( San Diego California ) network for calling purposes.
Thank you so much for your help Guys. I do appreciate it a lot. |

Yes for 2G calls, but not for 3G calls, as Cingular onoy has 1900 band allocated for 3G in US. Also, this phone does not support EDGE, so you are pretty much stuck with GPRS and WI-FI where avaliable.

if it is on silent, it will not sound. that is why you set the silent. at most it will vibrate.
did you mean something else?
