The purpose of the pixi is to broaden the Palm's audience since the pre is limitedly available. while Satio does, who really should care for a low spec'd smartphone if the manufacturer doesn't have a OS platform to promote like Palm?

this is exactly the point
palm is currently repositioning themself, but of course the only reason why they are able to do so is their own software platform. i don't mean that se should develop their own software paltform, because thats not what they are good at. they need to put all their efford on one single software platform and develop a family of products out of one platform. this is sustainable and a comparable cheap way to gain marketshare today.

What are they going to improve on, ruggedness or specs? Ip57 + 5mp would be a dream...

Android seems to be gaining ground. Wat do u think? Last i heard even an Opera Mobile ws being made 4 it(unlike s60v5). Its becoming ratha alluring |

next year products mate still lacks of info at this time but square looking better and cool for sure, as Badassmam said if you like it cool if not it like a nightmare.
