My new Sun sim suddenly cannot access gprs anymore. This happened to my old Sun sim too (as we discussed a few pages back in this thread). The CSRs cannot in any way help. They are clueless.
I was wondering if your friend at Sun can suggest a solution. Right now, I have to change numbers AGAIN if I want to use Sun's gprs.

For those on prepaid using gprs... DO NOT let your balance fall to 0... it will take forever for their technical people to reset your gprs access. You are usually given a warning through text message if your balance falls below Php 50 so, better load up. |

That is, if you can even GET to their technical people. The CSRs would just endlessly try to tell you that gprs is still on the testing stage, that your gprs account is already activated, etc. They'd refuse to make a report to the technical dept.
I've always wondered why Sun has refused to give its subscribers honest-to-goodness information about its gprs. Nagmumukhang tanga tuloy ang mga CSRs nila. A pity, because the rate is relatively cheap - an average of Php0.27/kb.
And get this: When prepaid subscribers call 395-8000, they are told to dial from their handsets instead, where an endless melody puts you on hold. Never mind if what you have to say ALSO affects postpaid subscribers, like when I reported that there was no gprs signal in our area. They won't listen...
I've thought about getting a postpaid account in order to prevent gprs deactivation, but the fact that you can't even TEXT during some nights because of the network congestion has made me decide otherwise. |

@arnoldc
Pm me your number. I'll have it checked.
@arvinsign
According to them, it is already a part of their regular service. If ever there will be changes, it would be the rates. So don't worry about Ang problema talaga is yung lines are clogged up pag patak ng 6pm up to 12 midnight Other than that, panalo pa ren sa tipid
@chili
Sure i can help you with that. I usually call up my friend and she calls up technical pag may problem ako with GPRS. Like yesterday, may load naman ako, tapos, i couldn't access my GPRS kahit may GPRS signal. Yun pala, hinde daw talaga naka-activate yung GPRS ko sa SUN. Nasama daw sa natanggalan ng GPRS. Weird talaga. Anyway, it's true also that when your load reaches zero, most of the time, you won't be able to access your GPRS kahit nakapagload ka na ulit. You have to ask the technical to REFRESH your gprs. I can ask my friend to do that for you. Just give me your number then i'll get back at you kung ok na Thanks.
@Dlreyes
Thanks for the information.
