Akshay,
Could you also edit your first post to include the newest drivers you have, with a short instruction (i.e., specific directory/folder where to install the files)?
Also, will this 2.71 version be completely compatible with W800i?
Thanks.

It is hard to say which drivers are the best. I have very nice photos with 2.4 and 2.1. 2.7 with SPOT take some pictures very overexposure. Without SPOT i havent tested it yet. I want to place 2.71 to my phone today morning, but i have choose my modified drivers. This driver is first which i make and photos from with this driver are good! maybe very good! And i will stay with this driver!!!! I will not compare 2.4, 2.71 with my driver because it is not objective compatition. )) |

Hello, 2.71 driver give me nice contrast shots. But i can only startup the camera once and have to reboot to use the camera but again only can startup once, Meaning like i on the camera to take 1 photo and i close it, later i cannot open it again both sliding open the cover and entering cam via menu dont work.
Thanks |

I don't have any problem with 2.71, i know this might be a bit annoying but y doesn't some1 do a comparison with 2.4, 2.7 without spot and 2.71, and they we can truely decide which 1 is best. Wot does every1 think? |

just give them a lil bit of time mate.. im sure they'll do it for our sake its quite a long process to change a cam.driver via FAR manager.. ( at least its over than 5 minutes )

Yeah i ain't expecting them to do it right now, but yeah i know what you mean it does take a while to keep going into FAR and then it takes about a minute to start the phone. |

u can place a shortcut file (ending with extension .@), in far manager, and shortcut the file to ur phone memory, or mem stick ..
then u won't need far manager no more, u can easily put/overwrite the camdriver file in ur mem stick, and if u restart ur phone, the new driver will be visible ..
in the shortcut file (camdriver0.dat.@) put this for example:
/tpa/user/other/cam/camdriver0.dat
and put that in the /FS/ifs/settings/camera/ folder in far manager (camdriver0.dat.@) and remove the original camdriver file .. and put the cam driver file in ur phone memory in the folder other/cam ..
that's all!
works fine by me, have this also for my customised menu, and layout.xml file ..

hi, does anyone here have problems on hybrid 2.71?
I noticed that the fone crashes after you leave it on standby at video mode and w/ night mode on. with this, you cannot access the camera afterwards and have to revert to your original camdriver to correct it and put it in still mode.
anyway, im looking forward for the next updated camdriver perhaps and just stick with the hybrid 2.4 at the moment.
thanks. |

Hello all,
I've started re-writing the original R1CA driver with some of my own algorithms. Heres's one fo them tell me what you think. Its not a hybrid and its version will be 10...10.01....10.02 and so on while my hybrid drivers are 2...... so as not to cause confusion.
Heres one of them....version 10:

and heres 10.01 with some small niggles corrected....now this is awesome if used with nightmode.....nightmode feature has been tweaked with....check it out.....this maybe one of my best so far....but please use with nightmode all the time for best results......I have increased shutter time without night mode so more noise will be visible but faster pics can be taken without night mode.

@2uk3y: only the cam won't work if the card would be damaged, because u dont shortcut all the files, only the cam driver, when u put another card in it with the camdriver in ur new mem stick, everything will be okay after restart of ur phone ..
but that's why i've put the file in my phone memory, it's more safer than in the mem stick i think. |
