@marlonski: How about a pic of yourself? And what is your favourite Indian food from the take-away restaurant?

Just a couple of random shots:

Trying out macro (note the dents on the bottom of the remote, me trying to open a bottle of beer with it... oops)

Getting my five portions of fruit & veg' a day

I think that's an Apache!?

Boring macro shot... sorry

Thought the cloud/sun combo looked good (btw if you find the tv aerial in the middle of the pic, the second building on the right on the horizon is the House of Parliament, useless info - yes, but whatever)

Just an old rundown pub

I'm not sure if I have a favourite dish mate, I like so many. Although i don't mind a hot curry i prefer a medium dish as I like to taste everything
Biriany, Dansak, Pathia, Bhoona, Tandoori, Vegetable curries, bhaji's,Naan breads. Now I'm hungry !

I don't usually do pictures of myself, May post a pic If can find one that won't crack the monitor

Taken this afternoon out with the gitmyster

@Marls ... the gitmyster certainly is a lucky fella going for all those country walks - i agree! Looks really picturesque round where you live.. where abouts are you located (you must have said before but ive forgotten ) Its funny ive got a mate that always always sticks his middle finger up everytime i try to take a pic of him.. Good ol' English spirit hey

I know ive said it before but your pictures are always bloody excellent!! Keep posting them

@london-uk Good pics (apart from the red flower macro one ) i like the one of the horizon...interesting shot

@ryan - I live in Andover, Hampshire which is around 60 odd miles to Bournemouth and just over that to London. The town itself isn't the prettiest of places although it's older parts are quaint and it's easy to catch the nicer parts with the camera

Yes the gitmyster is a lucky fella Around 5 minutes drive out of town and I can walk for miles.

Thanks for you comments mate, I enjoy posting here, and, it's nice to get some positive feedback from time to time

A lovely sky the other evening........

@mat3k - thanks mate

If somethink catches my eye I may take several shots of it, maybe compose some of the pictures differently and then pick the ones I like.

I will alter the brightness or contrast if i think it needs it, but it's minimal. I use the white balance setting most of the time and find this to help produce better results for me without having to mess too much with the picture afterwards. I also try and use the natural light to my advantage. In the case of the two pictures I have posted above and the last sunset on the previous page I didn't have to mess with the brightness or contrast.

I also like to mess around using a photo package from time to time and get some great effects and also use noiseware occaisonally. The camera has great potential mate, don't let anyone tell you should shouldn't make the best of the pictures you take ! Enjoy, from the pictures I have seen you post you obviously do enjoy it
