hello folks. What O2 Retentions offer you really has nothing to do with your monthly spend. I was on the O2 online sim only monthly contract for just over a month (25 quid a month for 200 mins and 1000 txts) and threatened to cancel and was offered the 15 quid 500 xnet mins and 400 txt deal with a little persistence, but i did have to sign up to a 12 month contract and i got a brand new phone which had only been out a couple of days

So, if you want this deal and are out of contract, just call up the retentions dept - be persistent and they will offer you this deal . They really dont want to lose customers right now, so if on the off chance they dont offer the same deal just take your PAC code and call again the next day.

makadon - are you currently with o2? and how much is your monthly bill roughly?

I really think what they offer depends on monthly bill.

edit: @m8cky - you got your K750i yet?

I wonder if I could get a good deal like these with Orange?
I've been on Orange for a few years and last year got them to match a 3 deal so now Im on Select 500 (x network) for £22. I have to bolt on some texts so maybe I could ask for some free ones and a K750 this time!

No Orange won't match this. The Select 500 is the best tarriff available on Orange so good luck in trying

I just upgrade to a k750i with 50 x-net minute and 500 text for £15 a month but since everyone been getting loada minute for £15 i decided to see whether i could get anymore minutes, i said i needed to send my handset back and cancel my contract today because three was offereing a really good deal which was ending today, she ask me what they offered and they said they where giving me 200 minutes x-net and 500 text on a 12 month contract for £15 a month lol, they decided to match the offer good stuff! i was going to say 500 minute and 500 text but i think that wash pushing it lol since i never saw any three tarriff offer this many minutes and text never mind 200 xnet minute and 500 texts for £15 lol can anyone post a link to where free offers these deals, i think o2 are going to clock?

Well, I must say that I am impressed with the K750i even though I thought I wouldn't.

I had a T610 and loved it and then upgraded to the K700i and was bored of the phone with a week!! It was too simlar and there was not a big enough 'jump' from the T610 IMO.

SE have this time made that differance, 2mp camera and a Duo Pro slot is what has made the differance for me. Very happy, only bad point is that it's been "O2'd" but I'll flash it further down the line.

Also has R1A firmware so that's another little task!

Anyway, I set this thread up for details on contract deals so I'll shut up now!!

Just thought i would let you know the result i got with o2. Am VERY VERY happy, i managed to get 500 X-net mins and 400 texts for £15 a month which is undoubtedly the best deal i have ever heard of, had to pay £29.99 for the k750i but that is a bargain as well considering this account was my second account i neva used to go ova my line rental which was only £20 so i am a low user as ar as o2 are concerned. o2 REALLY can't be making much profit out of this if people make full use of all these mins and texts! any one who's contract is coming to an end you are mad if you don't try and get this deal out of o2!!!

Thanks must go to m8cky for this thread - saved me LOADS!!! now just got to wait 3 months till my other two o2 contracts are up for renewal!!! hahaha

@chiefwiggum - I send about 700 txts a month so wanted more texts but obviously I was happy with what I got!

@m8cky - thats good, I was worried I would be very bored with my K750 after having a T68>T610>K700 and now K750 they're all becoming a bit too similar for my liking!

@ev'ry1 - I GOT MY K750 TODAY!!

Phew! I was crying by page 3 of this topic! Chiefwiggum you've made me feel better. I recently upgraded to a k750i on select 500 (500mins X-net anytime, plus 30 free sms for 6 months). I got the phone for free and it costs £25 a month.

How comes Orange won't budge on their deals like 02?

My flatmate got this deal with Orange:
400 mins X-net anytime Monday-Friday
Unlimited X-net minutes on weekends
400 text a month
for £40

I was on 750 x-net for £35

Just had to say thanks to everyone on here, the more I read the more annoyed I got with O2.

Was on Online 200 (300mins/50txt) for £30 a month.
Contract just ended, so I phoned O2, told them I wanted to cancel and asked for my PAC code. Put me through to cancellations who asked me what my reasons for leaving were. So I said 3 had offered 500xnet mins & 100 txt for £15. O2 said they'd match that and I got K750 thrown in for free. Well chuffed. Probably could have got more texts, but don't mind - talk far more than I text!!
