Before rushing to update fm, users should check out what's new (full impact of upgrading) then decide whether they will need to go to the next step.
The Firmware overview thread should be a sticky:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=92737&forum=17
Users can return to the same source for FM preview/review rather than having people posting same new threads haphazardly. It's a mess.
Of course, as many claimed, SE themselves are not aware of problems with the video after the upgrade. So, be pro-active (like some here)rather than just spurting complaints (like some here).

Anyone reckon they'll put the video encoding higher again with the next firmware ? i certainly hope so.
Whilst currently the video is better than any other SE phone IMO, id still rather have kept the original very high quality video. There was no picture pixelation at all, and hardly any blurring if you moved the camera fast.

I don't know why they lowered it in the first place. Seem like a misstake to me, which will be corrected in "next" firmware. At least if enough with people complains (which I think there will be).

any news from SE.... about the release of the new firmware |

how a huge company can miss the issue of lowering the bitrate in a firmware update is really beyond any logical explanation...
if they did it on purpose, either there is something that we 'supposedly' will gain from the lowered bitrate, or may be they are thinking of a future plan to gain money by introducing a better version of K750i (ex. with CCD sensor)
if this is a mistake, then they are really, really careless, or plain blind, since I cannot see any relationship between what the updated firmware fixes and the video quality.
In any case, this is really annoying, and SE should have a better answer than 'we are investigating the issue'...
