yes. I was asking him about the CDA, and what is a number to use being that i flashed my v800 to z800. He spoke about it but in the end I did not get the CDA info.

I know that when I flashed my phone, I needed to check the Finalization box.

The DaVinci Team download page has general and unlocking drivers to download for the K750.
I've already downloaded and installed the general and unlocking drivers from the SE site for the SEUS.
could somebody confirm that the SEUS drivers are OK to flash with DaVinci Team or do I need to install the DaVinci Team drivers as well / instead?
thanks

I used SEUS with the drivers I downloaded from the davinci site so I guess they are using the same, or at least compatible drivers.

I don't understand how you guys unlock your Voda K750i! What's changing the CDA? Right now DaVinci tells me:
CDA Number: CDA102338/36
CDA Revision: R5A
Model: K750
Language Variant: EMEA_1
How do u guys unlock the phone from this? And do I have to reflash my phone again? I had a Voda R1c F/W I flashed to R1J yesterday. Debranded but still locked.
Help?! |

I don't think unlocking is possible with this software yet, but no doubt someone is working on it, I wouldn't think it will be too long.

I was refering to Sebby's post:
"I've flashed with DaVinci R1J002 EU2 and changed the CDA to CDA102338/38 R6A, so I now have a "SIM-free handset"."
He made it sound as if his K750i is unlocked Is that unlocked Sebby?
BTW I also flashed EU2. What settings did you change to unlock it?

Let me see if I can clear it up for you.
Firstly, the CDA is nothing to do with unlocking. DaVinci doesn't support unlocking yet.
The CDA is a number that identifies your phone to the Sony Ericsson Update Service and simply tells it which firmware to download. You'll want to change this if you intend to use the SEUS in the future to update, otherwise it will download Vodafone firmware and your phone will effectively become rebranded.
I suppose you're right about my post; I did make it sound like my handset is unlocked, but it's not. It's like a SIM-free handset but still locked. I will unlock it when DaVinci supports it though, then it will be truly "SIM-free".

@Sebby,
Got a question for you. I flashed my v800 to a z800 and did not think to change the CDA number. You mentioned that it will go back to Vodafone branding if I use the SEUS. Do you happen to know the proper CDA for a z800i? I might want to buy a credit and change mine so that I can use the SEUS at a later date

Under the CDA, it should say something else (beginning with "cxc") then under that is what I need to know.
