Yes, just did flash it. Works same as before. No difference yet to mention.
Just hope that this crappy 'disconnect' problem with bluetooth is fixed somehow
If I find some changes, I will post! |

Hello everybody, I'm looking for a z800i with italian language (of course I' m italian). The phone it' s not on sale in my country, but I' ve found some on the web. The trouble is they don't come with italian language (menù, T9 ...). Does someone owns any z800i (not branded) with italian language ? If not I' ll stop looking for it.
Thanks. |

Italian language files are available, so that shouldn`t be any problem. You just need to get the phone flashed with the language pack you desire |

Yes, pallister is correct. The language pack is EU5. Here is a screenshot of what files to use.

Michael,
Can you also look at this on your phone now that you have done the R1AB014 update?
If the bluetooth connecting is still dropping and reconnecting over and over can you check the following?
Settings > Calls > Handsfree > handsfree type
Can you change from Automatic to basic? ( I cannot on v13)
If you can change the setting with v 14 to "basic" does this fix the disconnecting problem? |

I just upgraded to v14. The BT does not drop as much but it did drop once, so I will see. I also got a strange error: Charging Alien Battery. I turned off the phone and turned it back on and then it went away. It has come back twice though. Hopefully v15 will fix this.

saporro,
Thank you for the info.
Can you tell me what BT devices you are using?
I seem to have most problems with older .96 version devices like my ford mobile ease car kit, my BMW OEM car kit and my HBH 60 headset.
Thank You. |

Sorry to say, but.....Nope it did not fix any of those things you asked about. Perhaps and that is a real maybe...the dropping is not as much but it still drops a lot!!!
This really suck especially since this phone fw is currently on Z800i and they cost a lot!
And the bluetooth I use is the HBH 660 and 662 from Akono SE. Both sets work PERFECT with my P910i !!!
So it is the damn V/z800 phone! It can really drive one nuts even the voice command sucks with it! Sometimes I have to restart the phone to get bluetooth working!
Lets cross fingers that the SE creeps get their things straight and fix this crap or we have to get another phone...NOT from SE that is |

Michael,
Thanks for info. I was thinking about buying a newer SE headset to see if part of the problem was my older unit, but it seems not.
Every v800 and z800 owner needs to complain to SE about the bluetooth problems. I have multiple times.
I use my z600 with the same BT devices and it never drops and works great.
maybe v15 will fix this? |

I am using a HBH-660. I am also connect to my wife's Nokia 6680, and to my Mac. They never disconnect. The problem, I think, actually resides with the BT headsets. Their software is never updated. This something that SE needs to look into as well.

The BT dropping seems to be specific to handsfree connections. I use my Z800i as my modem for internet access with my Mac, and it never drops the BT connection.
SE needs to fix this ASAP! My $200 handsfree carkit has been rendered useless now. |

You need to send them an email. Start with the European SE contacts as the US, sorry to say, is the third world when it comes to BT, GSM, GPRS and 3G.
