Wonder if I could pick your brains guys, do either of you use your 9500 as a bluetooth modem with your pc? I'm trying to but not getting very far with it at present. Any ideas? Cheers.

The fax function is a God-send. Besides, with the activation of Fax and Data, I found I could also now dial into an ISP Web and mail server (useful for those times GPRS fails and there's no Wi-fi signal available).
About bluetooth connection with PC, my PC went kaput some time ago, so I havent tried it yet. And honestly the reason I am not desperate to get another PC or notebook is that I have the communicator!! |

@Aya- I know what you mean I use the 9500 more than the pc now.
@Dicky- had my 9500 6 weeks now and it came with 128mb mmc but not the london maps and stuff.

I've had my 9500 since december and didn't get a memory card or any of the software.

i thought i read it somewhere, that the processor of the 9500 is too slow to make full use of it's wifi capabilities? (e.g. slow loading of webpages)
is it true? |

I have not used Wi-fi on the 9500 and so cannot tell.
However, I must say that the 9500's processor/browser combination is not as bad as people make out.
I do a lot of heavy work online on my 9500,and it gets the job done adequately.

Here's the new skin on my 9500. I like this better than Bliss.

some of the pictures were taken at full zoom,so the quality on them is poor in comparison to the ones taken without the zoom

Fax on the 9500 saved the day today. I needed an urgent document sent to me by my wife from her office halfway across the city.
She simply faxed it and there it was live in my Messaging inbox!

Guys! I got myself a bluetooth dongle for the office PC today. I got tired of plugging an unplugging the data cable, if you know what I mean.
Browsing on the PC via bluetooth internet connection with my 9500 is smooth. So is accessing the drives on my 9500 and copying and pasting files. What's more, I can synchronize, backup and restore via BT. I can even pair my headset and listen to my favourite CD tracks without disturbing anybody.
I say goodbye to data cables finally....

Hey boys, appearantly a new firmware for the 9500 is coming/announced.
one of the sweet features is having a Mark All/Selected/None from the command key on the Desk menu or something of that nature.
v5.22
